21.01.2022 I've been on a bit of a "working with denim jacket" roll in the last couple of days. I visited a great sewing supplies "op shop" today with friends & picked up this unfinished tapestry panel that just screamed to be sewn onto something, and I happened to have this handy size 16 op shop jacket waiting for refurbishing!! I cut the background fabric away, leaving 3/8" to turn under & press. I used the great blanket stitch on my Bernina to attach it . 15.01.2022 I had enough of this beautiful, bright fabric to make just a couple of these phone bags. They are so bright, they wont be easily lost! They are padded & lined and sized to fit your smart phone. They have a secure velcro top closure, a zip external pocket for $, cards & keys. The strap is long so they can be worn across body. 07.01.2022 The refurbishment of the denim jacket continues!! I've added colourful hand stitched accents in perle cotton to the collar, pockets, front band sleeves & some seam lines to add interest. I'm not sure if its finished yet, but I'm liking it so far. I'm finding it to be a great skill builder trying out a variety of stitches & combinations.

04.01.2022 I was asked to make a bridal garter for a friends daughter & this is what I came up with. The single "love" earing has been in (one of ) my box of random sewing stuff, just waiting for this perfect use.
