19.01.2022 Op Shop dress find that was worn to at least 3 events last year and may appear again at my brothers wedding later in the year It was a happy day for me when Op Shops reopened after the lockdown. They are my go to for clothing before the retail stores. I did a pledge to not buy anything new for a year back in 2018 and it latest closer to a year and a half. I changed my consumer habits and also started to wear event outfits more then once...I know right!!!! Lock...down provided time for many households to declutter unwanted goods. It also means that retailers are now being left with an over supply of stock from the downturn. This is an issue that wasn't highlighted to me until this morning after reading the below article. "It looks like billions worth of unsold clothes, furniture and consumer goods will end up in landfill unless retail recyclers get support to expand their operations - "@good360 Good360 estimates usable retail products worth $1.92 billion go unsold each year, but that figure is expected to skyrocket due to the lockdown.
