25.01.2022 Here is my breathing mentor talking about the physiology of breathing in relation to yoga and life. It’s really worth listening to. Enjoy. Tx

25.01.2022 Hi dear breathers, I have been looking for ways to serve my community during these uncertain times. I have also experienced an increased interest in breathing retraining, as a way to support people's health and immune function, during these uncertain times. Many of you have completed the breathing retraining with me or Tess, and have experienced the enormous benefits from it. You have often talked about other people you know who might also benefit, but not in our local area. ...Since i have now moved all of my teaching online, using the zoom platform - I have decided to reach out to our graduates letting you know that it has never been so easy and cost effective to do breathing retraining. I have decided to offer breathing retraining, at a considerably reduced price in order to support more and more people during this time. Typically, breathing retraining is $175/ session over 6 sessions which is $1050 - delivered face to face. I am now offering groups, via zoom at a considerably reduced price of $350, but have not wanted to reduce the effectiveness of results we get. The most powerful changes seem to happen when we do the sessions in quick succession, whilst awareness of breathing is at its highest. Therefore these sessions will be run daily. Dates 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th May Two time slots available; 7:30am-8:30am 12 -1pm Follow up session to be negotiated. Numbers will be limited. This includes; 1. an initial breathing assessment, which is done online - and where I gather the information I need to identify the best individual strategy for my clients. 2. 5 x 1 hour per day, zoom sessions with the group, making the learning richer as you watch other people and their progress. 3. A breathing journal for you to monitor your progress, along with the background notes from the session. 4. 1 hour follow up two weeks later, which includes another breathing assessment. My goal is always for clients to get the results, which is breathing better (when you are not thinking about breathing), optimising oxygen supply, reducing symptoms and resetting the brain. If you know of anyone who has expressed interest in this work and who might be interested, please pass this on. If you would like a refresher, and to take your breathing to another level - you are most welcome to return. I hope this message finds you all healthy and well, Sending love, Tracey

23.01.2022 I recently worked with a lovely man who had been diagnosed with severe sleep apnoea. This is a condition which is extremely common these days and very debilitating for people who experience continual disturbed sleep. If left untreated can lead to many other dangerous health conditions. Unfortunately the only real medical treatment that exists involves sleeping with a machine that keeps the airways open, or other devices that can be incredibly irritating. The man I worked with... had to wait up to three months to get an appointment for the specialist to allocate the correct machine for him. This led him to find us, to see if he could get some instant relief as he was feeling incredibly tired, nauseous, irritable and was waking up all night. Within the first day of making the changes recommended, he experienced a better night sleep. Two weeks later, he is now only waking once a night to go to the toilet. He has discovered the important link of certain foods and drinks that were contributing to his disturbed sleep. He has lost weight, and experiencing more desire to exercise. His legs are no longer restless and has learnt to understand how his body communicates to him through certain symptoms that help him to modify his habits and protect his sleep. He has breathing strategies to help him on those stressful days, or during times of sickness. He has learnt how to listen to his body. He has decided to get retested for sleep apnoea, for his own peace of mind but is convinced he no longer has it. Finding those small things that can make a big difference is what breathing retraining does. Making the changes permanent is our goal. Watching this highly motivated man reclaim his health is an absolute joy! Thank you Tess for the gift of this incredible work. http://breatheability.com//relief-from-snoring-and-sleep-/

22.01.2022 A wonderfully accurate article on what good breathing is from a fellow breathing educator. It would be worth a read to remind you again of those healthy breathing habits you have learnt. Enjoy!

21.01.2022 Hello All What do Ashleigh Barty and Roger Federer have in common? Answer: 1. They both play tennis... 2. They play good! 3. They don't grunt on every point. and They play with their MOUTH CLOSED ... I have watched tennis for years and have marvelled at how these two players are calmer, don't sweat as much and rarely have their mouth open to breathe. It is so obvious when you understand the physiology of optimal breathing and the importance of nose breathing amongst other things. Even at elite levels of sport, good breathing is rare.

21.01.2022 Our legend Tess Graham

20.01.2022 The launch is official. Tess life work is being captured in two wonderful books. Relief from snoring and sleep apnoea and now relief from anxiety and panic. A wonderful achievement from my mentor. Congratulations Tess.

20.01.2022 In our experience, very few asthma sufferers have a comprehensive understanding of their asthma medications, and doctors have little time to talk about it. We help asthmatics to understand their medication, and work with them to retrain their breathing so the risk of overuse of medication is reduced. Breathing retraining has been clinically proven to support asthma sufferers and can reduce asthma symptoms. In some countries breathing retraining is recognised as a wonderful support to their asthma management plan. Talk to us and we will tell you more.

20.01.2022 A great article that accurately discusses the physiology of breathing in relation to stress and the role of carbon dioxide. Very few people understand this. A great read to remind you of the benefits of our work. Enjoy! https://www.iqmindware.com/mental-load-lowers-blood-co2/

19.01.2022 Many of my breathing clients start to notice how other people around them breathe. It's a bit of a byproduct of learning to retrain your breathing, as we learn to observe things that we normally take for granted. When you can hear people breathe, observe lots of mouth breathing, deep breaths, sighs and yawns, it is an indication of over-breathing. Over-breathing is really common, very few people breathe optimally - the way the body is designed to breathe. Over-breathing is w...hat many of us have learnt to do through lifestyle and misinformation about what good breathing is. This significantly changes your oxygen blood chemistry and is a form of hidden hyperventilation - often leaving us feeling tired, anxious, breathless and on edge. This can be changed through retraining your breathing. My clients are so grateful to have this knowledge and better breathing, once they have done the training. it is a great gift to your overall health and life. It's the first thing we do when we arrive and the last thing we do when we leave. Doing it well has huge impact on everything. Yours in better breathing - Tracey See more

19.01.2022 It’s been officially launched and now sits in a proud place in the Better Breathing Centre. A great, easy to read program developed by my mentor and expert in her field. Could be a good Christmas present for someone who is quite debilitated by anxiety. Tracey http://breatheability.com/product/book-relief-anxiety-panic/

17.01.2022 There are many misconceptions about what good breathing is, and what will calm a person in need. Both Tess and i were interviewed regarding our experiences in working with people's breathing patterns and why they experience what they do. I think you will find this interesting, please feel free to share it with anyone who you think would benefit. Enjoy!

16.01.2022 I love it when science explains why what we know is true! Wonderful research from Stanford explaining the link between breathing and arousal - or emotional state. Conditions like anxiety and panic disorder have an extremely strong link to breathing pattern. Working with these issues psychologically or pharmacologically without addressing the underlying breathing pattern and dysfunction is like trying to fix a car that isn't working without checking the fuel, water and oil! Ho...w you breathe from moment to moment influences the way we feel physically, mentally and emotionally. States of continual and unjustifiable anxiety and panic, being experienced most of each day, is a breathing centre that needs training! I can say through experience, it is a game changer when people start retraining their breathing centre. They feel like they are now in the drivers seat - not their anxiety! (Sorry about all the car metaphors :-) See more

16.01.2022 A lovely testimonial from Kate. I loved doing this course with Tracey. After years of yoga and meditation, breathing was something I thought I had figured out it turns out I wasn’t breathing optimally that whole time! Tracey is a fantastic teacher and really knows her stuff. She provided a basis for easily building a habit the practices are simple and effective. I loved learning more about breathing physiology, but the best part was implementing the practices. I now use what I learned in the course in my everyday life and would highly recommend it.

12.01.2022 An interesting article on breathing. Getting closer to understanding normal physiological breathing. There are many references with this article that might satisfy the breathing geeks amongst you. https://www.theguardian.com//how-to-take-the-perfect-breat

12.01.2022 A little bit of a sneak preview of Tess Graham's latest book. There is no doubt that after clients with sleep apnoea, dealing with anxiety and panic is a huge area of struggle many people experience on a daily basis. Hence the title of Tess' latest book. Living in a constant state of fear is debilitating and can really hijack moments of joy and celebration. It can even lead us to make decisions out of fear and limiting what we think we can handle. A powerful place to start wh...en seeking treatment and support is to assess and make changes to your base line breathing pattern. That is, the way you breathe when you are not thinking about breathing. What your brain has set as your regular breathing pattern. Many people are set, as if they are being chased by a tiger, (the fight/flight response.) The problem we experience with our complex brains - is that many of the tigers are in our head! Change your breathing first - permanently. Then see what else in your life needs to change. One of my clients thanked me profusely one day, as the explained; "I feel like I'm now back in the drivers seat, and no longer feel scared that the panic monster is going to come out of nowhere and sabotage my moments." I have a very satisfying job, as i see this happen all the time :-) http://breatheability.com/product/book-relief-anxiety-panic/

11.01.2022 Sometimes thinking about your breathing, causes you to become more anxious about your breathing. I had three clients this week where I had to say, just forget about your breathing for a while. When we overthink breathing we get in the way of the bodies innate intelligence to adapt to the breathing retraining exercises we give to bring your breathing back to optimal oxygenation. We try to think it better rather than LET IT BE better. The mind can get in the way. When we have a break from thinking about it, the progress then happens. Your in better breathing. Tracey

09.01.2022 A great opportunity to hear from Tess and raise money for the wildlife. It’s going to be held at the Better Breathing Centre CANBERRA.

08.01.2022 Mouth breathing in children causes all sorts of short term and long term challenges. High palate and crowding teeth, gum disease and dental decay, chronic tonsil swelling and adenoids, continual coughing and increased mucous production, snoring and restless sleeping, tight chest, lethargy and poor exercise capacity, concentration and memory. Mouth breathing causes a deep disturbance in the way your body receives oxygen. Mouth breathing in children can be changed without any gadgets and can help you to avoid surgery and extensive dental work. The good thing is children don't have quite so many years of conditioned breathing patterns that adults do, and therefore make changes quickly and permanently. Contact us for a breathing assessment and we can help your children develop different habits that will support their overall health for good.

07.01.2022 Hello dear followers. In case you haven't seen it, just reminding you of our online breathing program that is on special over the Christmas period. (From $195 - $150) Many of you have received huge benefits from learning to breathe the way the body is designed to breathe, so maybe you have a friend or relative you could pass that gift onto. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and many more blessings. Yours in better breathing, Tracey

07.01.2022 Happy New year to my wonderful community of better breathers :-) Many of you have shared with us how the experiences you've had retraining your breathing would benefit other people you know and care for. The idea of committing to a 5 day breathing retraining program has probably seemed a little prohibitive for many of them. Now there is another option for people experiencing symptoms of snoring, sleep apnoea, asthma, anxiety, panic, chronic coughing and sinus issues. Our onli...ne program that we emailed you about prior to Christmas, may be just what they need to help them experience better health. Tess Graham and I have been overwhelmed by the response to our online breathing retraining program, so we have decided to extend the offer. It is still available at the cheaper price until January the 10th. Thank you all so much for your continued support of this valuable work. We are deeply humbled by your beautiful letters and the discoveries you have made when you've retrained your breathing. Wishing you all health and happiness for a brand new year. www.breatheaway.com.au See more

06.01.2022 Once upon a time only middle aged men snore. Now just about everyone snores - even children and babies seem to rattle during sleep. Have you ever wondered about this? Is snoring normal? No this is not normal and yet it is so common. What is really going on? Snoring is a result of breathing too much air, causing dehydration and inflammation of the airways. It is a result of how people are breathing during the day. It is a result of many bad habits our lifestyles and diets are creating. It can be changed, without any gadgets and medication. Contact us for an assessment of your breathing, so we can help you to make the changes necessary for a peaceful nights sleep for everyone. I'd love to help you.

05.01.2022 Our next breathing educator training.

05.01.2022 Joe is a neuroscience and teacher who transforms the physiology of the body, and in this case, the immune system and helps us to understand the role of stress in limiting our bodies response to things like COVID 19. A great read.

04.01.2022 A wonderful interview discussing breathing and breathing retraining. There is so much misinformation about what good breathing is. It's nice to hear someone talk about it so clearly and accurately. Enjoy!

02.01.2022 An interview worth listening to.
