18.01.2022 When you are repeatedly eating for emotional reasons or smoking or drinking alcohol you may beat yourself up and say you that if you had more willpower you'll be ok and you may feel that you're somehow weaker than everyone else. Well this isn't true. Your subconscious mind is the emotional mind and it is a lot more powerful than your more logical conscious mind. So it's perfectly normal for your emotions to override what you call your willpower The thing is you're not rea...lly wanting the doughnut for the cigarette or the wine, but rather you are wanting to change your emotional or feeling state. If the doughnut or the cigarette or wine did nothing to change your emotional state then you would quickly lose interest in it. I use hypnosis and other scientifically supported techniques to help you to lose the urge or compulsion to overeat or smoke or drink and instead be able to feel better in healthier ways. We tend to run away from uncomfortable feelings, and so we miss out on fantastic opportunities to grow and improve our lives. Often our triggers can be going on at a subconscious level and so bringing it into the conscious mind by starting to notice what makes you do your unwanted behaviour is the first step in breaking a bad habit. To work out your triggers, ask yourself:... What time of day is it? What did you just do? Who are you with? Where are you with? How are you feeling at the moment? Asking the right questions is the first step to healing as you can move smoothly through the pain and walk your way to a different ending.

02.01.2022 It's interesting how some people I talk to fear hypnosis and worry that I'll be "digging around in their mind". They are worried about what I might find, worried they'll reveal secrets or that it can make things worse. Well let me reassure you that: * hypnotherapy is incredibly safe, *you won't reveal secrets that you don't want to because you still capable of making normal decisions under hypnosis. Stage hypnotists give the illusion that people act with out any will of ...their own, but you are forgetting that those volunteers chose to be up there and want to participate. *you won't be asleep. You may be very relaxed but hypnosis is a state of increased rather than decreased awareness. * I spend about half the session finding out about your current issue and your goals so I know exactly how to help you.
