18.01.2022 Do you have TIGHT HIP FLEXORS? Did you know that tight hip flexors are often a symptom of WEAKNESS? If your hip flexors are weak then theyre likely to resort to tightening to create stability.... If all you do is constantly stretch your hip flexors youre not addressing the underlying problem. And youre not likely to get any long term relief. Instead of stretching, try strenthening your hip flexors instead. 12.01.2022 What is the best posture for SITTING? With lots of people working from home right now this is more relevant than ever. The old fashioned view was that we had to sit perfectly straight, with everything in line.... This makes sense. But in fact is not supported by research at all. Time after time, research comes back showing that theres very little association between how you sit and the pain you experience. **The truth is that there is no one perfect way to sit** Slouching is OK Sitting with your head forwards is OK Sitting with crossed legs is OK So instead of focusing on how youre sitting, just try to change it up. 05.01.2022 Were thankful to say were still able to offer CLINICAL PILATES classes run by our Exercise Physiologists. For a lot of our clients this is essential to managing their INJURIES, their PHYSICAL health and their MENTAL health. Were also accepting NEW members who need to stay active for all these same reasons.... However we are LIMITED to 3 people per class. This means that we have very few spots available. To help simplify things these are the classes with room: Monday 12 or 2pm Tuesday 5pm or 7pm Wednesday 2pm Thursday 7am, 9am or 11am Friday 12pm Please note this will change on a daily basis and although well do our best, we cannot guarantee your preferred time. This means we can see anyone that wants to come in for an individual Exercise Physiology appointment.... If you want to come in and get on the reformer we’re running 30 minute sessions for $70. We can help with all health conditions, be it injuries, pain or simply to work on your mental health. We'll set you up with a regular weekly time/s with payments via direct debit. If you’re interested give us a call at The Healesville Wellness Factory on 5962 2697 and we'll do our best to fit you in :) *For Group classes we’ll unfortunately have to wait a little longer. We still haven’t been given an exact date. But we’ll probably be waiting a few more weeks at least.
