25.01.2022 Why are some people winning more than others? It does not seem plausible that this is just some lucky coin toss. If it was that simple, statistically we would all turn out relatively even over time. Of course, there is something else going on here. The truth of the matter is, winners are behaving differently to the losers, winners have set mental and behavioural patterns that help get them into the winners’ cycle more often.... #BetterLifeLiving

20.01.2022 The act of completely immersing yourself in a task or activity provides the space in which the inner warrior in you can come out. Be prepared to clock in some hours doing something you enjoy, but be sure to choose something that is difficult enough to consume your brain and be repetitive enough that it will eventually become autopilot. Here is a list of activities that I have found really great for practising immersion: Swimming (pool or ocean).... Meditation or Chinese exercises. Gardening (the easy repetitive stuff). Distance running. Massaging people (this was my first Job out of Uni). If you are not certain about my list or there is nothing that appeals to you, not to worry. 18.01.2022 Any of your beliefs and views can be changed, but you need to get the hours upon the affirmations. Your self-talk has been a big part of the formation of your current beliefs and reality. You are talking to yourself all the time. When you wake up, on the train, before you go to sleep. It is a consistent stream of conversation that starts as we first start to form our language skills. With this weight of discussion going into the current state of your beliefs and views, it is ...little wonder affirmations take time to be effective. Try and take a moment every day to go through your affirmations in a set time, mornings make the most sense to me. Throughout your day try and run through them in that dead time in cars, in bathrooms or on public transport. The more you practise, the faster the process can work. Be patient as some of the beliefs you may be trying to adjust might be deeply rooted with hundreds of hours of self-talk, past experience and current reality. #BetterLifeLiving

18.01.2022 Your affirmations should be pulling you towards something, avoid even talking about the habit or problem you want to change. Focus on what it would look like without the issue. We are trying to work towards a place where the old habit does not fit the picture. #BetterLifeLiving

13.01.2022 Consider how you define yourself. Who are you? Maybe you identify as middle class or of modest income. Maybe you describe yourself as of average build, blue eyes and dark hair. Take a moment to describe who you are. Most people might start running through a similar list, recounting a number of things that they would use on a dating site to fill a profile. Listing preferences or dislikes as a means to define who they are or how they are perceived.... This is how I once would describe who I am. I would define myself using a backstory, by my relationships, by my habits, through the things I own or where I live. I cannot say I am completely free of that way of thinking, but I wholeheartedly believe there is a lot more to me. 08.01.2022 Your affirmations should be talking about the situation as if it has already occurred, the way you might tell a person about something you already have or already do. Your affirmations should contain plenty of statements like ‘ I, I am, I have, My ’ For example, I am a business managing machine, My (company Name) makes X profit per month, I attract and employ smart staff and I grow leaders in my organisation.... This is an actual affirmation that I have used with great success. I can honestly say my profits have grown, the quality of the talent I attracted has improved, and there are some specific staff members that have grown in their leadership capacity. #BetterLifeLiving

08.01.2022 The saying is ‘Fake it till you make it’. You are stretching and challenging yourself to grow skill levels and eventually play at a higher level. We can all benefit from faking it a little but remember, the point is to actually make it, to incorporate this higher performance as your standard. 07.01.2022 Try letting go of what you think your life is supposed to look like. Instead, look at what it is. Look at what you have instead of what you haven't. Look at the friends and lovers who stay, rather than the ones who leave. Look at the obstacles you have conquered, rather than the ones that have conquered you. Choose to believe everything is the way it supposed to be, just as it is. "Moments when we take the time to see what is actually going on and realise the amazing life w...e are all passing through. 06.01.2022 It is so easy to say something like ‘I have no debt’ or ‘I am a non-smoker’ or ‘I never eat fatty foods’. But - your brain then puts a picture straight in your mind of precisely what you are trying to avoid. The better way to achieve some of these changes is to focus on what you want rather than what you are trying to avoid. #BetterLifeLiving

04.01.2022 Ask yourself, who am I really? I have come to the conclusion that the idea of ‘you’ is a made up compilation of internal opinions that you have either formed for yourself or have taken on from others. The reality of who you are is terribly tricky to grasp because the very process of thinking about ‘who you are’ is being shaped by the perception you have of yourself. By the process of observation, the observed is affecting the subject. Indeed it is very hard to have an objective opinion when you are your own subject. I started to realise that it is this inner filter -no matter how hard to grasp- that has a very big effect on how you see the world and what you believe is possible in your life. #betterlifeliving

Your inner beliefs and vision of yourself is the main factor that is shaping your current reality.
