We're asked daily if this level of lift, or indeed the one sported by Bella Hadid, can be achieved by Botox and filler. In short, no. As with any procedure, it’s important to let patients know what to expect. The disadvantage of eyebrow lift with Botox is indeed that they are only temporary and can lift the brow by only a few millimeters (at MOST). Also, it very much depends on your own individual opposing muscle strength. It's frustrating that the public see photoshopped/ surgical transformations across the face and body, and denial of surgery - and then think this is typical of what they can expect. Most of the photos you see on IG of fox eyes, are of thread lifts - and are taken immediately after they're inserted. This isn't a realistic representation as the snatched eye look is brief, and in our experience only lasts weeks, whatever you're promised. So the patient may want to return bi-monthly or even less to keep up the look, which is not recommended at all. This should only be carried out once or twice a year. This area of the face, is susceptible to scar tissue from trauma caused by multiple threads in such a tight vector, as well as increased risk of foreign body rejection. It's essentially achieved by stitching a dissolvable thread, covered in tiny barbs, to another piece of tissue. Your body will absorb the threads and the lift quickly disappears. We see a lot of patients with dents in the skin as per above, & no real result when it settles. We're not convinced they're worth the money, or we'd offer them ourselves and so would the majority of surgeons. Before CC offer any procedure, we usually try & test it first. If you want an effective lift, pick an experienced surgeon and do it surgically. You'll achieve upto 1cm of lift, but less than half of that with Botox. Soft filler can make the area under the brow look softer and more natural, and provide a little lift. Remember, skinny brows and barbed wire tattoos were all the rage once too, and all trends pass. Fox eyes is another.
