24.01.2022 Remember how naturally tuned in children are to you, to others and the world around them. It’s easing up a little but the globe collectively is still feeling stressed, panicked and anxious They feel it too...... Just a reminder that their tantrums, crying, behaviour or just being out of sorts are all just symptoms of their needs not being met or being overwhelmed with emotion. They don’t know how to deal with big emotions, they need to feel supported and sometimes just a cuddle and your presence is enough to help them feel safe. Especially at the moment, it’s tough Mumma but just remember you are doing an amazing job #itstartswithin #mentalhealth #anxiety

19.01.2022 This sculpture depicts in a physical sense what many of us carry around emotionally. It’s a burden And it’s heavy And sometimes it’s hard to see the forest for the trees But we can lighten the burden seeking others who have walked the path before us... There is a solution, and it’s not spent in years of outdated traditional talk therapy ... See more
18.01.2022 This is so me in the Mornings. Can you relate?
15.01.2022 Please use your common sense and help our elderly and anyone else who is immune compromised. The Townsville hospital will not have enough ICU beds for people if this does get out of hand, which means some of those people will be left struggling. The medical system is under enough pressure as it is. ... We came together during the floods, let’s see that again for this event Townsville.
14.01.2022 There is a feeling associated with thinking about anxiety but it is not a feeling, it's a thinking process. It also in many cases creates a physical response in your body. SO this means that addressing the symptom through medication is just masking the cause which is why it is much more valuable to address the cause rather than rid of the symptom. ... If you personally do anxiety, then you have a skill. You are very able to do the skill of anxiety and you have rehearsed it so well in your life that it is a default setting. It's a programmed habitual way of thinking - just as walking or driving is after doing it for so long. This is good new because knowing how you do a certain skill and it's underlying cause enables us to interrupt it and ultimately change it!! So how skilled are you at anxiety? Would you like to become less skilled at it?
11.01.2022 Allowing ourselves to feel what we feel, and acknowledging that we have good reason to feel that way, is a better route back to good mental health than beating ourselves up for not being superhuman. JK Rowling
10.01.2022 I’m so passionate about health and how what we eat affects our moods, mood swings and general ability to handle life events that come up. It’s a free event Townsville so head along if you can.
06.01.2022 If you believe you are a hard worker who has to fight for everything you have worked for and have earnt then you may also believe everyone else has to work hard for what they have and will judge others by their abundance or lack of. If you believe that you are a victim of life and society then you may believe others are victims of society and that you deserve justice as well. If you measure yourself by your intellect or beauty then you will judge others through the same le...ns. We all judge and measure others by our own standards and values which have been shaped by our experiences. This is not to say judging is wrong, it’s neither right or wrong. For example - we all have standards or traits for which we will not tolerate in ourselves therefore we do not tolerate in others. Once we can recognise our own measure of ourselves and accepting that others measure themselves and the world differently to us, is one of the most important steps to consciously choosing the right relationships for ourselves and choosing what we consciously think of others. It’s also a necessary part of developing our own boundaries and where we’ll meaning family or friends may be overstepping those without realising. You may not accept another’s values and that’s ok but you cannot change their values for them either. By accepting your own choices, you no longer judge others in their choices. Accepting this goes a long way in having compassion and understanding for each other. Brene Brown says If I feel good about my parenting, I have no interest in judging other people’s choices. If I feel good about my body, I don’t go around making fun of other people’s weight or appearances. We’re hard on each other because we are using each other as a launching pad out of our own perceived deficiency.

04.01.2022 Anxiety comes in various depths from very mild every now and then to frozen in fear and can’t even do life. It can seem uncontrollable, excessive and irrationa...l on a logical level but it’s definitely real to the person in the thick of it. Did you know that even OCD is a form of anxiety - yes even the obsession with having a clean home. It can be managed or medicated but what if it could actually be reduced significantly or easily removed all together? How detrimental is it to you? How is it interfering in your day to day life? What are you missing out on because of it? Kids lives or grandkids perhaps? So how well are you doing anxiety?? First step is to have the courage to reach out for help. #clinicalhypnosis #mentalhealth
