17.01.2022 This Saturday Bevande' will be selling coffee as a fundraiser for the Kakuma Refugee Camp at a garage and breakfast sale. The Youth Group at HumeRidge Church of Christ are hosting a Community Garage Sale at the HumeRidge House (469 Hume Street). The sale supports children and families in the camp.... 6:00am start for any keen bargain hunters and selling BBQ Food and Coffee from about 7:30am. Please come along and support this great initiative from the Youth Group. There are 3 ways that you can help support this, please see information below: 1. If you have any unused items laying around your house that you dont mind parting ways with please consider DONATING these items to our Garage Sale. You can drop off items to the church (461 Hume st) anytime on Friday 27th May. 2. Come along on Saturday Morning to see if you can pick up a bargain. We will be open from 6:00am and shut up shop at some point after lunch. The BBQ will be cooking up food all morning and we will have a coffee van selling hot drinks on site. 3. Please promote this event via Facebook, emails to work colleagues or word of mouth within your family and friends. We would love to see as many people walking through on Saturday Morning to see if they can pick up a bargain. Late last year this church sent over 500kg of clothes, toys, shoes and other important items to help some of the families who are living in this camp. The photo is of the children receiving some of these clothes and items. Reports from the camp are that they were very excited and pleased to have some items given to them.
