12.01.2022 WALKING DOWN MEMORY LANE 2017 Located half way between (45mins from either) Amman International Airport in Jordan and the Allenby Bridge border crossing for Jordan and Israel; Mt Nebo is a must stop destination. A few years ago with my friend and colleague Cath, who is an expert in this region, we spent 3 days visiting Amman and Petra. What a treat to do this with Cath's friends who are accommodation owners and a local tour guide.... Mt Nebo is where Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land, with views to the Dead Sea, Israel and the Palestinian Territories. Islamic scholars also mention Musa (Moses) is buried on the site. Today sits the Moses Memorial Church - The Mosaic Church. Mosaics date back to 530CE The triple-apse Byzantine Basilica was uncovered by archeologists in the 1930's Below are a couple of photos from the church and a couple from inside Petra. All beautiful memories.

You may say I could make that playlist on Spotify or even take my iPod on my walks. Well this playlist has trained my mind and body to relax and sleep. You see I only use it when travelling and need to switch off. Bev’s insider tip - also pop your business card or a piece of paper with those same details on the inside of your luggage. Then if the outside tag breaks off your luggage is still identifiable. Never put valuables or medication in checked luggage. You’ll find many insurance policies don’t cover items such as jewellery, cameras and laptops if they are in checked luggage. And delays may mean you are without vital medication. Getting ready to travel is exciting. Being prepared lightens that travel day stress.
