25.01.2022 This is an old cypress pine floor if have been working on. The boards where covered in old black Japan. I had to pull some boards from a bedroom and install over a concrete slab in the end of the hall so all the boards are of the same size and age . I then installed new boards of the same species in the bedroom. In another room I thought there was cypress under the carpet but turned out to be chipboard. I installed new cypress over the chipboard. I filled all the gaps between the boards with black sikaflex. I then sanded and finished all the floors with satin polyurethane. The floors look glossy in the photo but will dull off once dry. I also installed quad around the skirting board to cover the gaps between the floor and the skirt.

25.01.2022 This is a kaurie pine floor. I have used a grinder to remove the old black Japan and red paint. I have sand and finished the areas with gloss polyurethane. Black Japan is hard to remove as it blocks up all the paper and stinks

15.01.2022 This is a floating floor I have sanded and finished. The timber was to dark for the owner. I have used Bona white lime wash. Finished over the top with Bona Traffic. Bona is a water based finish that is non yellowing and no smell.

15.01.2022 This is a deck. The owner was advised by a hardware store to use a filler and then paint over the entire floor. The filler let go and the paint came with it. I have sanded off the paint and filler. Like any jobs preparation is the key . With the deck sanded back to raw timber the new paint will have something solid to stick to.

11.01.2022 This is a floor in an old garage. The garage was built in 1878 to house a cart for a horse and cart. Then used for a car for many years. The old car had a bad oil leak . So there was a very thick mound of old hard oil. I have filled the large gaps between the boards with sikaflex. I have used an electric plainer and grinder to level the very rough floor. I have sanded and finished the floor with gloss polyurethane.
