22.01.2022 The first of the Donkey Orchids are flowering in Brooking Street Reserve. Still some beautiful Snail Orchids around as well.

21.01.2022 At the water standpipe near Brooking Street Reserve I was watching this very busy Slender Mud-Dauber Wasp collecting mud. It would bury its head in the mud and have its tail stuck up in the air. What a very busy fascinating little critter.

20.01.2022 Love these unique West Aussie trees

19.01.2022 We are working on some new walk trails in Brooking Street Reserve at the moment. Thanks to Jacinta for all the work she is putting into these trails and all the signage needed. Once completed we will have a series of great walk trails to see our beautiful orchids without walking on them.

18.01.2022 Look at our beautiful new sign standing proudly at the entrance of our beautiful reserve. Thank you so much Jacinta for organising the sign and thanks to the shire for putting it up. Wonderful news our beautiful reserve is no longer unmanaged crown reserve it is now vested in the Shire Of Beverley after about 2 years of waiting for the vesting to come through. We are now able to move forward and protect this beautiful reserve for our future generations to love and enjoy.

13.01.2022 Some photo's of the stunning super pink moon.

11.01.2022 Wonderful to see the beautiful Snail Orchids out in Brooking Street Reserve. We have also planted some Wandoo on the Dempster St end of this reserve and also digging out perennial Welt grass. This is a terrible weed. We were also lucky enough to see these Bush Stoned Curlews on one of our reserves. Thanks Mike for coming and seeing our beautiful reserves and for identifying bird calls and some of our native flora like native grasses. Had a fantastic time and learnt heaps.

11.01.2022 Dottie videoed this beautiful Dung Beetle cleaning up the bush. They are such hard workers. Dottie seen it carry the dung quite a long way before dropping it down the hole.

10.01.2022 How wonderful to see and hear the Barn Owls at night. They have been calling and very active for about the last week. We have a habitat tree out here that the Barn Owls call home and every year we watch this beautiful big Salmon Gum give protection and home to our lovely family of Barn Owls.

08.01.2022 Great information

07.01.2022 Photographed this stunning group of Butterfly's last week in Beverley. They are Meadow Angus Butterfly's Junonia villida.

04.01.2022 This pretty plant is a weed called Stinking Roger. They are quite prevalent at the moment and sadly I will be pulling them out of the reserve because they can impact native plants.

02.01.2022 How magnificent are the Salmon Gums at the moment. They have shed their bark to reveal the stunning beauty of their beautiful salmon colour and shine. They are absolutely stunning. The second photo shows an older Salmon Gum revealing the wonderful hollows that are very important homes for many species of wildlife like Barn Owls, Possums, Ducks and Phascogales.
