18.01.2022 Game 2 York Strikers v Beverley 3:0 Our first game on turf didnt go our way unfortunately with Penny injuring herself minutes before the beginning of the game. It was a fast paced game against a skilled York side. Coaches Award: Carissa Shaw Eddy: Penny ... Game 3 Beverley v Jenna 0:1 Congratulations to Bird for playing her 50th game with the Beverley Ladies Hockey Club!! We were down a few players this week and welcomed Hollie Smith and Jaime Garrett to the side. It was one of the most competitive games we have played against this team, plenty to be proud of! 08.01.2022 Avon Hockey Association have announced that the 2020 season is going ahead with team registrations due July 1st. Fixtures will be available prior to games beginning Saturday July 18th. The season will consist of 9 rounds with two weeks of finals. More information to come in the next few days! Training is at 6pm Wednesdays at the Beverley oval - hope to see your there!

06.01.2022 100 GAMES! Congratulations Kelly Mann who will be celebrated this weekend playing 100 games with the Beverley Redbacks Hockey Club! Kelly is one of the founding members of BLHC, and has some huge achievements including the following: ... Association Fairest and Best 2012 Beverley Fairest and Best 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2018 Beverley Runner up team Fairest and Best 2010 Kelly has been a committed and involved club person with positions on the committee as Secretary, President and also has had numerous coaching roles over her time with Beverley Redbacks. We best not forget that Kelly is also an inaugural member of the poached eggs club, and is the only player we know who has slept in her full hockey uniform (including her shoes!) Im sure there are things that we have missed, but we will take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for all your hard work over the years to keep the club going Kel! It hasnt gone unnoticed! Heres to 100 more!

05.01.2022 HOORAY! with the restrictions starting to lift, we are looking at starting some **fitness only** training. At the moment we are are still under some very strict, but important, social distancing and hygiene rules, but we will be running socially distanced fitness sessions at the Town Oval on Wednesdays at 6.15pm until further notice. 03.01.2022 To our players, sponsors and supporters! We hope you are keeping well. The Beverley Ladies Hockey Club would like to give an update on the current 2020 (or lack thereof!) Hockey Season. With restrictions lifting we will be working closely with the Shire of Beverley and Hockey WA/The Avon Hockey Association to hopefully get back on the oval to do some training. We have made the decision to delay restarting training for 1-2 weeks to allow us to best comply with the COVID19 Sa...fe guidelines from the Shire and HockeyWA to keep our players and the community safe. Hopefully over the next few weeks we will have greater certainty of what the 2020 season might look like and will continue to give updates as they arise.

03.01.2022 ROUND ONE: Beverley v Drifters Finally hockey is underway in 2020! The Redbacks would like to welcome some new and old faces to the club with Jen Petchell, Lucy (Simba) & Lucy (Charlie) joining Kathryn McLean & Mirika Winmar back to the club. Further congrats must go to Chantelle Meade and Kelly Mann and families on the arrival of some little ones over the extended off season. With Geena Batchelor voted as captain and Britt Hadlow as vice the team is coached by Carly Veitch... & Dani Whyte. Now to the game. The Reddies came out hard and were the first goalscorers but Drifters were not lying down and replied with the score being 3:2 at half time to Beverley. We furthered that with another goal in the second half and came out victors with some good team positivity and camaraderie. Goalscorers: Carissa & Chantelle 1 each, Mirika 2. This year we have one game day award which went to Chantelle Meade who was strong on the ball and kept running. This is very kindly sponsored by the Freemasons Tavern. 02.01.2022 Even though we cant train as a whole team, this isnt stopping us from getting into some pre-season training in the comfort of our own homes! We have organised a little competition to keep that motivation up! Every week 10 challenges will be assigned and for every team member that completes each challenge by video evidence, will receive a point! Do you want to get involved?! We will post the *bonus points* exercise - if youre game please upload the video of you doing the exercise using the hashtag #Hockeyinhibernation on Instagram or Facebook, and nominate a team to give half a point to (husbands and partners we are looking at you!)
