23.01.2022 Today is Day 1 of 3 days of virtual training. I’m setting myself up with morning self care, enjoying an organic chai with the sounds of nature. We are connecting via Zoom from 10am to 6pm for three days. ... It’s going to be tiring and requires focus but I’m super excited to be learning how to apply Meta Dynamics(TM) as a Coach. Meta Dynamics(TM) is the first and only proven researched-based coaching methodology developed by Sharon Pearson. It is a program to help coaches understand human behaviour more, NLP techniques, and frameworks that will empower me and assist me in guiding others to create lasting behavioural change. I’m so ready!!

23.01.2022 Creating High Performing Teams Strategy 4 Having Regular Conversations with your Staff Video Below ... Business owners and team leaders often say they don’t have time to book in regular 1:1’s with their staff. I get it you are so busy running the day to day stuff that you feel you don’t have time. You need to MAKE time because talking to your staff regularly will SAVE you time in the long run. In order to feel SUPPORTED, employees need to feel HEARD. They need to feel that they have a VOICE. Having regular conversations with your employees ensures that there are NO SURPRISES at the formal performance meetings. Yes formal performance meetings are still essential however they should be stress free and super productive talking about the future not the past. Weekly, fortnightly or monthly catch ups are ESSENTIAL to keeping your employees engaged, productive and EFFECTIVE. Here is how: 1. View any opportunity to connect with your employees as just that an opportunity. It’s a chance to know one another and build rapport. Be the leader you wish you had stay true to the open door policy!! 2. Your goal is to show your commitment to helping your staff develop and grow, but also to step back, remember the organizational mandate, and think about how best you can work side-by-side with these HUMANS to get things done. 3. Have catch ups often. The more you have, the easier they become. The more connected you are with your employees the less chance there is for you to fall out of sync with what is going on in the workplace. In other words, if you support an atmosphere for clearly setting expectations, being candid with one another, and communicating frequently, you can avoid having to prepare for formal, prescheduled conversations to address lingering issues. Instead, proactive conversations will be normal, addressing issues as they emerge, and nipping things in the bud before they escalate. Next week: Following through do what you say you are going to do! #hr #humanresources #employeeengagement #people #workforceplanning #highperformingteams #strategytools #hrsupport #smallbusinesshradvice #performancereviews #performancediscussion #employeesvoice https://youtu.be/GIJdT_IdyTU

10.01.2022 Day 2 - BRING IT!! Key take aways from yesterday’s training... Questions to ask self:... do we live life that is conscious or unconscious? are we becoming aware of our historical ‘stuff’ how do we build more authority or more self esteem Simply living a conscious life is the key to so many doorways. When we risk nothing we risk everything. When we fell intimate with self and others we are ok with making mistakes. We also have a feeling of belonging which is one of the most important drugs we can have - the ultimate drug! WE ARE BIOLOGICALLY BUILT FOR CONNECTION

09.01.2022 This!! This is how we go through life. This is what we teach our children. ... This is how we get through any tough times. This is how we get through a pandemic. Nothing lasts forever! Lean in . . . Reach out . . . Talk . . . Hold hands . . . As we are so much stronger together! #strongertogether #resilience #love

09.01.2022 My first thought when I saw this article shared by Chantal Gerardy facebk Strategist was: Be unapologetically YOU. If people don’t accept you without make up, heals or a killer suit, then they are not your people. ... But then I thought - do we still live in an age where we are judged by how we present ourselves? I always take pride in my appearance but I am not a ‘power suit and heals’ gal. Would love to hear your thoughts!?

08.01.2022 With restrictions starting to ease here in Queensland (**Insert happy dance), businesses are trying to get their head around how to re-open and/or how to transition their employees back to work. It won't be 'business as usual' for some time for many businesses. Having held a few discussions with clients last week about this transition process, I have suggested starting with a re-induction. ... Induction or Onboarding processes are so important. It is how new team members learn the behaviours, attitudes and skills required to function effectively within your organisation. Starting employees back with a re-introduction to your Policies Procedures, Mission, Vision, Values, Code of Conduct and expected behaviour standards could be a great way to press the reset button. As a leader, they will be looking to you - the business owner - for direction and assurance on what is going to happen over the coming weeks or months. If done well, you will help your employees feel like they are part of the team again quickly which will lead to higher productivity and greater retention. Order some breakfast pastries; Have a morning tea; Ask all your staff to bring in a dish to share; Put on pizza for lunch... These little gestures go a very long way. What are you doing to transition your employees back into the workplace?

06.01.2022 Excited to spend this lovely rainy weekend participating in training titled: YOUR ULTIMATE SELF The aim of this training is to connect more with MYSELF and become intimate with all that I am. My emotions, My potential, My creativity, My flaws, My aliveness! ... We are predisposed to look after others before ourselves - Time to break the mould. We need to look after self first so we can then be the best version we can be in order to then help others!

03.01.2022 1st of September... WHAT???? How did that happen?? I must admit, I do have an extra SPRING in my step today. I absolutely love warm weather and am very much looking forward to Spring and Summer days~ ... What's even more exciting is that we only have 4 months until 2021. We know that it's going to be so much greater than 2020 and I'm planning big things for my business. What are you most looking forward to over the coming months?

03.01.2022 Hey business friends! I think you should join us for an epic morning of inspiration and a chance to meet some wonderful humans that do business well! The monthly Business League Business Breakfast is on Wednesday 6th May and we are honoured to be welcoming Shane Fitzsimmons - NSW RFS Commissioner as our speaker and guest. As the man-in-charge during Australia’s Worst Bushfire Season on record, Shane Fitzsimmons name and face has become household. And certainly one that is s...ynonymous with Leadership, Compassion and Humanity. Getting by on just a few hours of sleep each night during the 240 days of fire activity in NSW during the 2019-20 Season, Shane led a team of 70,000 volunteers, co-ordinating troops from HQ and on the ground, while becoming the face the Australian public knew and trusted. On Wednesday, 6th May, the NSW Rural Fire Service Commission will be sharing what it is really like to Lead through Crisis at an Exclusive Queensland event at The Business League. Shane Fitzsimmons has over 30 years experience with the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) serving as both a volunteer and salaried officer. After experiencing the death of his own volunteer fire-fighting father and working his way through the ranks, in September 2007 Shane was appointed Commissioner of the NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) and also the Chair of the NSW RFS Bushfire Co-ordinating Committee and the Rural Fire Service Advisory Council. Shane was awarded the National Medal in 1999 and the Australian Fire Service Medal (AFSM) in 2001. This is going to be a massive and moving morning that you do not want to miss! 01.01.2022 #JobKeeper - Sole Traders - update There have been many asking when the next round of declarations open up. The ATO has updated their website to notify that you need to make your business monthly declaration by the 14th of each month. Therefore, the next declaration will need to be made through MyGov or the Taxation business portal NO LATER than 14th June. ... When the option to actually enter your declaration opens on the portal is not clear but logically we would expect it to be at least 1 June. A reminder to those that have yet completed steps 1 and 2 to claim for JobKeeper fortnights in April and May - this MUST be done by 31 May. https://www.ato.gov.au//In/JobKeeper-guide---sole-traders/
