25.01.2022 What a whirlwind! BUT fantastic news for SA! After today's announcement, we're excited to say that we will be back open on Monday! We will be wearing masks and following all government guidelines. Thank you so much for our incredible clients for their continued support. 24.01.2022 Here Danielle is hand sewing some additional wefts into a client’s wig to add some additional volume to the piece. This will also add a bit of longevity & extend the amount of time before this client will need to purchase a new one! There’s so much customisation we can do to wigs & toppers to make them the perfect fit for you. We have a lot of tricks & techniques up our sleeves!

23.01.2022 So how do you know which is right for you? Maybe both. Synthetic & human hair wigs both have their pros (& their cons). Both are great choices for you depending on your budget, time, and needs. Pros of Human Hair: Many human hair wigs can be styled, curled, and straightened just like your own hair! (But with a little extra care) The versatility in how the wig can be styled gives a lot of freedom!... Human hair wigs come in the same variety of textures as real hair. Curly, natural, straight, wavy, different densities... you're sure to find a wig to suit your desired look! They may cost more, but with good care, human hair wigs last two to three times longer than synthetic wigs. Pros of Synthetic Hair: Because they come pre-styled and retain their original shape after washes, synthetic wigs are exceptionally easy to care for! No finesse with a curling iron needed. Synthetic wigs require considerably less upkeep, which is helpful if you’re experiencing fatigue from health issues. Depending on the quality, synthetic hair wigs are less expensive than human hair wigs. If you purchase a good quality, heat-friendly synthetic wig, it can be more cost-effective than human hair wigs. One of the key advantages is a synthetic wig’s ability to retain its style, regardless of the weather. No unwanted frizz! Perfect for warm or humid climates. 18.01.2022 There are so many different ways to wear and blend your alternative hair! While some women like the look of concealer through the part line, others use an makeup powder to blend into the base. I’m this video Bev uses a dark coloured powder to conceal the look of the mesh base on a synthetic wig. This also works amazingly well for covering greys in bio hair! Ultimately it comes down to experimentation and discovering what you prefer the look of.

09.01.2022 A question we get asked all the time -- Can I wear a topper without clips? YES! Some of our clients don't have hair or find their scalp too sensitive where toppers 'traditionally' have clips. The beauty of having a consult in the salon is that we can customise the piece to suit your unique needs! In this case, there are several options: Clips can simply be moved to an area that is more comfortable or where there is hair.... There is a hair band we stock which allows you to not have clips at the front, but only some at the back. Double sided tape is also an option if you don't have hair to clip into. We also have combs we can add in, which have wider teeth than the clips, that some clients find more comfortable. We also offer semi-permanent attachment methods, such as invisible hair grafting, which removes the need for clips and may be an option depending on your desires and lifestyle factors. 06.01.2022 Our longtime client @why_charlie wearing a Beverly May Topper on her wedding day! She opted a lace front topper with one of the larger bases we offer, beautifully dyed by Melina to perfectly match her bio hair. Such a beautiful blend! She says: "Thank you so much to the incredible staff at Beverly May Hair for making me feel so confident and beautiful on my wedding day!! The topper was practically invisible, I couldn't believe how seamlessly it blended with my own hair! The... color by Melina was so gorgeous. I chose to wear a topper because I was able to pull it up but have my own hairline visible, but it gave that extra volume and coverage I was hoping for.
