24.01.2022 Hello, stumped for last minute Christmas gifts? I have a few colourful kids frames left, also few funky mirrors. BUT, if you are inclined to gift something special (like the 100+ years old original vintage poster below), or a cool limited edition etching come and see me at 42 Urquhart St, Woodend.

22.01.2022 I like this cow.

18.01.2022 I had a go at making a bay window. From a couple of cool old leadlight window panes and, as usual, some layabout rubbishy timber. Getting there, leadlight to be repaired, hole in the wall to be made. Soon.

16.01.2022 My usual pre Christmas clean-up SALE. This is when I have a bit of creative fun with leftover mouldings to make some classy or quirky products. There are colourful double frames for kids in A4 size, designed so artworks can be swapped using no tools whatsoever. Then there are double, triple, quadruple frames designed mainly for (but not limited to) medium and small mirrors. All frames come with backing, hanging hardware and either mirror or glass. They are all CHEAP, at or bellow cost.

11.01.2022 Did you get some artwork for Christmas? We did. A lovely map from 1908 and a Norman Lindsey print from 1918. I'll frame ours, I could frame yours too.

10.01.2022 Quite amazing. This person was told about my shop. She sent me an email as to wether I could source some original vintage Michelin posters. I asked my contacts in Europe, gave her a selection, she chose this pair. Left the details of the presentation up to me, though I kept her informed. 5 weeks after the initial contact she came to Woodend and eyed her posessions for the first time. Fairy tale, it all ended well. (Michelin posters -lithographs- published and printed in 1959, in Milan)

08.01.2022 Hi all, my pre Christmas Sale has been a moderate success so far. Mind you all purchasers so far have been amazed how much value got for the modest amount of money they have forked out. So do yourselves a favour and come on down to 42 Urquhart St, Woodend. I want them gone.

07.01.2022 Wooding has resumed. Cross members level. Legs cut and laid out. Made some joints, dry fit for now. Following the curve of the slab with the legs, drawers and stuff will be a bit tricky.

05.01.2022 My struggle with the big wood has started. This slab that will (hopefully) become our kitchen counter measures 3.3m x 0.8m. Lovely piece of messmate courtesy of Steve Scott. Have repaired one 5cm wide split and addressing the 4cm twist the Bexley way. All hand tools, as usual.
