07.01.2022 Scammers, the pests of the internet! Its becoming a lot harder to decipher whats a real email or website and whats not! Here are some real life screenshots of texts and emails of scams. We have put together a few tips to help you tell whats a scam: 1. You have received a large bill sum for a bill you already paid (or unexpected invoice) 2. There is a sense of urgency or threat. *fear tactics* 3. Being congratulated on a competition you won.. that you didn't enter and sorry, ...you didn't win. 4. Being told there is a problem with your bank account. 5. Being told you are owed a refund, trust me.. you have to find those refunds, no-one lets you know they owe you money haha. 6. You get a tracking number for an item that you didn't order *please also check with your spouse ;) 7. You're asked for urgent help... probably from a Prince from Nigeria who needs your credit card details stat. 8. Being asked for pins, passwords or other sensitive information. Always hover over links in emails, this will show you the address. Always check the sender's email address. Always keep your antivirus up to date. If you get scam emails or texts - report these to https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/report-a-scam As always, we are a phone call away if you need help!

04.01.2022 Urgent Apple security notice! We have identified over 40 serious security vulnerabilities in iOS for any device running a version older than 14.6 (released 25th May 2021). We strongly recommend that you and any member of staff within the business who owns an Apple iPhone or iPad download and install the latest update, iOS 14.6, to patch these security vulnerabilities. The exploit explicitly targets the Apple Safari browser and has been documented to include the following risk...s to users who do not have the latest security update: * Redirecting users to a phishing or malicious site, * Performing actions on a site on a user's behalf, * Obtaining information input by the user into the browsing session such as passwords and credit card details. Urgency: High Impact: Moderate - High Thanks to our friends at Correct Solutions for sharing this with us!

03.01.2022 Another wonderful client, Edit@ - www.editat.com.au. A simple, clean website for those completing uni thesis work. Love seeing this clients side hustle come to life.

01.01.2022 Thank you so much for all the wonderful support of BexTech. We have grown so much over the last 12 months. We have built websites that we are proud of and encourage you to visit rcsurveys.com.au and thepilatesjunction.com.au. We are hosting websites, visiting all different styles of clients including small businesses. We have expanded fast and all through the power of word of mouth and social media. We have had to come to the decision, for a few months, to not take on any new clients. This is tough for me, because I want to say yes to everyone - however there are only so many hours in the day. Please continue to send your messages, I will troubleshoot with you. I can refer you to a trustworthy person if needed. Please know we aren’t going anywhere; this is just a short hiatus.
