20.01.2022 Its called a Pilates and Yoga Practice because that is what you have to do. You dont have to look perfect in a pose or movement. Practice, practice... just keeping practising. Practise on your own, practise with your friends, practise with strangers, practice in the Studio. Keep focused and practice for your body and mind. 20.01.2022 Sunday lunch in a pan This is so delicious and nutritious, warming as we enter into Winter here in Australia. 3 carrots, 2 onions, 4 celery sticks, 1/4 of a huge sweet potato (it was literally as big as my head!) 3 garlic gloves, crushed. Sauteed all together with a tbsp of olive oil for 10 mins. Add 4 cups of water with 1 tsp of Veg stock. 2 bay leaves, 2 tsp dried oregano. Lid on cook for 20 mins. Blitz half the soupy mixture in vitamix or stick blender. Add it back t...o the pan. Add chickpeas (or pan fried chicken) and half a cauliflower cut into florets. Cook for a further 5-10 mins. Serve on a bed of spinach. A squeeze of lemon juice will help your body absorb the iron in the spinach. 16.01.2022 Mexican bowl 100% veggie chilli dish. It was so yummy and so good for your body. Eating a variety of vegetables will support your immune system. Eating a variety of vegetables will keep your gut healthy. #foodasmedicine I sauteed onion, garlic, carrots and zucchini. I added 2 tsp cumin, 2 x sweet paprika, 2 x tsp smoked paprika, 2 x tsp coriander, 1 tsp veg stock, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp chilli powder. I then added diced butternut squash, 1 x tin tomatoes, 1 x diced... tomato, 500ml of water. Cook for 30 mins. Then blitz half the soupy mixture in vitamix or stick blender. Add this back into the pan. Add finely chopped or grated cauliflower and 1 x tin of chickpeas.... cook for a further 10 mins and serve. 14.01.2022 Lunch idea for tomorrow. If u have eggs, cauliflower, mushrooms, avocado, green leaves of any kind, you can make this. I sauteed the 2 vegies, whisked 2 eggs, poured into the pan of vegies to make an omelette. It was served with snowpea sprouts, avocado and marinated artichokes. Snowpea sprouts are nutrient dense, containing Vitamin C, vitamin A and are super rich in antioxidants which provide anti inflammatory and phytonutrients to support the body's immune system. 13.01.2022 Hi everybody...! here is a little bio of me. I am full of passion and love for Pilates. I have been teaching Reformer Group classes for 12 years. I first started at a company called Tiaki, where i gained a Reformer qualification, a Mat Pilates qualification and a Yoga qualification. I also gained experience with @Powerplate training and experience in a 'studio' setting using the Cadillac, Wunda Chair and High Barrel. I learnt to control a room of 20 people all workin...g on their individual reformers, all working to their own individual needs, following my instruction. In more recent years i have studied with Studio Pilates and am currently studying with Polestar Pilates. I could bore you with the rest of my qualifications but ill save them for a later post. 10.01.2022 I just came home from a 20 min brisk walk, i was thinking... always thinking, i think way too much...! But the topic of thinking too much is for another post. I was thinking about nutritional grains and breakfast... how to combine? Try to 'think' of the nutritional value on your plate. If it doesnt have high value dont eat it. Quinoa is an awesome addition into any bowl, it is protein rich, twice the fibre of other grains, contains iron, magnesium, Riboflavin (B2). Here i ha...ve used the traditional breakfast ingredients of eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms. I sauteed the tomatoes on a low heat with extra virgin olive oil and garlic. I cooked the mushrooms with the quinoa 1/2 tsp of veg stock. Served it with 1 egg and 1/4 of an avocado. 06.01.2022 Eat your greens everybody! I recently went to the fabulous restaurant called Cuisine @lakecrackenback I didnt fancy anything off the starter menu (there was only 1 vege option). Main course I choose a beautiful Snapper with a lemon/ouzo sauce. For my starter I choose the 'green vegetables' from the sides menu.
