08.01.2022 I love this Joseph Campbell quote. It's often our darkest moments or our worst experiences that contain valuable gifts for personal growth, healing and transformation. I have seen this time and again in my own life and that of my clients. In counselling and therapy I accompany people on their journey of growth, healing and transformation. I feel so grateful and blessed to be able to do this.

06.01.2022 In my previous job in youth mental health I learnt from young people that they found counselling and therapy most beneficial when they were listened to and acknowledged without judgement or expectations. It's about meeting clients exactly where they are at, which is beautifully illustrated in the Rumi quote below. At Beyond Talk Therapy the provision of a non-judgemental and accepting environment is at the core of everything I do.

01.01.2022 Boardwalks in nature remind me of my childhood home in northern Germany, close to a fjord bordering on Scandinavia. They also represent for me a kind of home coming, of returning to oneself with a feeling of safety and comfort. My goal as a psychotherapist is to enable clients to come home to themselves, to a sense of safety and trust within themselves, feeling settled in their body, mind and emotions.
