22.01.2022 Dear Community, This past month we've been collecting nominations for our Classroom Heroes campaign. We want to recognise and celebrate inspiring educators in the Queensland community for World Teachers Day. Often times we have to step out of our comfort zone to create the change we wish to see in the world.... So what better way to announce the winners of our campaign than jumping into the unknown? Tomorrow, October 5th at 8.30 I'll be skydiving out of a plane and announcing the winners of our Classroom Heroe's campaign on an Instagram Live - stay tuned! I hope to inspire you to jump out of your comfort zone to do something different with your kids, goals or career as an educator. Regards, Peta Jeppesen
21.01.2022 A gentle reminder to our community Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, teachers, school counsellors, and school employees have remained acutely focused on supporting their students and continuing to do their jobs at this time. In some cases, this may mean teaching, care-taking (whether for children or other loved ones), and continuing to work through the same challenges that anyone else is.... Don't forget to take care of your mental health, create reasonable expectations and set boundaries around your workspace.

06.01.2022 Inspiring educators from our history Maria Montessori was an Italian physician, educator and innovator, acclaimed for her educational method that builds on the way children learn naturally. She went on to lecture, write and develop a program to prepare teachers in the Montessori Method. Through her efforts and the work of her followers, Montessori education was adopted worldwide - and further changed the way many look at the education system.... We're grateful she paved the way for this revolutionary approach to education.
