24.01.2022 We absolutely love our new friends the silk worms. After a quick shout out to our neighbours we found a mulberry tree near by to pick yummy food for them to nestle into. We havent named them all yet but the suggestions so far have been fantastic. Thank you to our beautiful @seedlingsfdc friends for bringing these little beauties into our lives

24.01.2022 Its been an unusual few months here at BFDC as weve navigated our way through free childcare and all the implications that came with it. This bunch of beautiful friends havent skipped a beat. Im so glad we get to continue on as a group as we move happily back to the old system with a few new additions coming on board soon

23.01.2022 This month we’ve been learning about our growing families. Many of our little friends have new babies on the way or brand new babies who have just been born. To finish off the theme we’re growing our own little family of wheat spouts. 20.01.2022 Susie is just one of the lovely parents who has enquired about a spot at BFDC this month. Horrified at my response that I simply cannot afford to take on new enrolments by adding extra days to my schedule, due to the new free child care policy, she went to the ABC to give this story some air. Thank you Suzie word needs to get out that this simply isnt working.

19.01.2022 Our first month back at care has been so hectic weve neglected our Facebook page What a month its been. Weve welcomed three fantastic new starters and one returning family creating a beautiful group of BFDC friends. Our adventures so far have been based around outdoor play as we take advantage of the lovely autumn weather ... Our garden patch is well on its way with mint, coriander, carrots, garlic and much more. We cant wait to send home some freshly grown herbs to our wonderful mums and dads We have a new look to our day care room making space for creative and imaginative play, role play and for our over 3s, some direct instruction learning. Were so excited for our year ahead as we share our journey with all our fantastic followers and families. Dont forget to follow us on Instagram too

13.01.2022 We sat together last week and listened to this exact story. It fit perfectly for our current space theme. The children were amazed by the back ground noises and the way her hair was standing on its ends. What a cool way to add another literacy moment to our day

12.01.2022 Its been all things Halloween this month at Booragoon Family Day Care. Weve used this theme to guide our learning and what spooky fun we have had The children have created crazy potions in our creepy science lab, used their own wild imaginations for role play in our haunted house, practiced letter and number formation with witches fingers, colour matched with spider stickers and even carved a pumpkin with Ed. By far one of the most engaging themes of the year. Great job BFDC kids

Find us there as we slightly re-brand, with a new focus, for our second year of operation We will be closing for a short 5 months while we welcome a new little bundle of joy into the world. 07.01.2022 Weve had a busy couple of months here at Booragoon Family Day Care as weve reopened and begun our new adventure with our fantastic new crew of BFDC kids Friendships were quickly forged as we settled into our new routine of morning walks to the library for story time, followed by baby chinos at the local coffee shop. Our activities have been focused around group play to build those strong bonds and encourage natural imitation type learning between the younger and older c...hildren. Weve had a lot of fun so far and I cant wait to see where we go over the next few months as we move into our next theme. Due to the ease and fun of the first few months we are looking to add another day to our week. Enquires are welcome

07.01.2022 Booragoon Family Day Care will be closing for a short time later this year while we welcome a new little bundle of joy into our family Baby Miller number 4 due early November. We will reopen March 2019 on limited days with many of our current and fantastic clients returning to care.... Between now and October there may be some occasional care vacancies available. It wasnt long before we had collected all the parts we needed to make the yummiest bird attracting feeders. 01.01.2022 We were a big bundle of love this week as we celebrated Valentines Day. The children talked about who they love and how they feel loved as they scooped, filled and tipped red pasta and rice from our Valentines tuff tray. Then, after a hilarious photo shoot trying to get our littles to blow kisses into the air we settled on beautiful candid photos of each friend for our Valentines Day art lovingly wrapped for our mums and dads at home Happy Valentines Day to all our wonderful BFDC families. We love and adore you all

01.01.2022 Dinosaurs are the focus today at BFDC. Together we created a land full of prehistoric wonder from all the loose parts we could find. I can always count on this bunch of friends to extend on their learning in one way or another. One clever friend said we need trucks, Jayne. Pretty soon it was a dinosaur verses truck mud pit. This set up will likely last weeks as we add new elements to our building story
