The McGowan Government and Main Roads WA have invited community feedba...ck on the project to replace the Fremantle River Crossing Bridges across the Swan River. These river crossings are vital pieces of the puzzle to finally connect Fremantle to Perth with a principal shared path. After being involved in some of the consultation sessions, there are three concerns that we would like to highlight and encourage the bike riding community to also voice these concerns to ensure that this 100+year project provides a safe, connected and convenient bike riding environment. 11.01.2022 STILL OPEN! Based on current information from the West Australian Government, I am able to continue to trade.... Clearly the management of Covid continues to represent a changing situation and BFM will be complying with all government recommendations. I am instituting all recommended hygiene measures, I wear gloves while i work, wipe down completed bikes with a alcohol cleaner and implementing social distancing protocols to ensure the safety of my customers. If you have any concerns about social distancing I am happy to discuss what you want done on your bike/bikes over the phone or via email. You can then just leave your bike somewhere i can access it to limit face to face contacts. Now more then ever getting out on your bike can be a great coping strategy and an excellent way to maintain fitness plus get out of the house for a bit! This new 2.1km sectio...n completes missing link in the PSP network between Glendalough Train Station and Hutton Street, and includes: - Two underpasses at Hutton Street - A dedicated cycling and pedestrian bridge over Scarborough Beach Road We have seen massive increases in cycling participation recently and infrastructure like this makes it easier for people to ride their bikes. A big thanks to Main Roads, Department of Transport, BMD, David Michael, Jessica Stojkovski MLA and Chris Tallentire MLA for their input into this great project.
