25.01.2022 We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we learn and play at BFM Wavell Heights; and their elders past, present and emerging. We recognise the connection our First Nations people have to this land and that they learnt and played here long before we did. Each morning in their classrooms our children say an acknowledgment of country. Here is the land, Here is the sky, Here are my friends ... And here am I. We are learning on Turrbal country. #NRW2020 #InThisTogether2020

08.01.2022 Food Preparation When children begin to internalize the foundations of Practical Life, they seek ways to use their skills and assume broader responsibilities within the classroom. Preliminary activities that isolate single skills demonstrate the childrens amazing ability to handle kitchen tools. ... When children have the opportunity to prepare and serve snacks (and even meals) they learn cooperation and experience community in a natural way.
