25.01.2022 Birdwood Community Carols is on! Saturday 19th December 2020 from 7:15pm onwards at the National Motor Museum grounds. Bring a picnic blanket or camping chai...r and your vocals! Gates open at 6:30pm. This years event is a very simplified version with Father Christmas visiting followed by carol singing. Please note that there won't be food or drink available to purchase on site. We will have a COVID Safe check in process at the gate that we kindly ask you to use along with the following of social distancting rules on the night. We look forward to seeing you there community! 25.01.2022 It was a very special Legends with Bevo this week as I chatted to Kriegy who is an inspirational bloke and on Sunday 20th of September he will be doing his firs...t marathon at the ripe age of 40 to raise money for an incredible young lad, Cooper Spillane. Cooper sadly had to make the difficult decision recently to amputate one of his legs but his positive attitude has warmed the hearts of many. Kriegy's beautiful wife, Kelly has created a go fund me page for Cooper and his family and you can donate by going to the link below. https://www.gofundme.com/f/coops-journey In our chat we also spoke about Kriegy's new business Driven From Within which is going gangbusters, his SANFL career at Central District Football Club and North Adelaide Football Club and his coaching career at Birdwood Football & Netball Club and the Gaza Eagles Football Club. 21.01.2022 To all our Members and Supporters, Next Saturday October 10th we will be holding our Cash Lottery draw at the Blumberg Hotel from 1pm-5pm. All those who have purchased a ticket will be eligible to win the Major Prize of $2000 and there will be other random prizes for winners throughout the day. If you haven't paid please EFT the payment to Kellie with the words "Cash Lottery" and your name asap. Please see the attached list with names of people who have alre...ady committed to numbers. For those that haven't bought a ticket yet but wish to do so there are still some available so please support the Club and contact us and come along on the day for your chance to win. Tickets will be able to be purchased on the day. A reminder that 1 ticket admits 2 people for the day and there is a 2 hour drinks package and nibbles will be provided during the afternoon. The Pub will also have their usual lunch and dinner menu available.

21.01.2022 The HFL is currently awaiting correspondence from SA Health to see if our COVID-19 management plan will be approved for over 1000 spectators this Saturday 19th September at Kersbrook. At this stage, we are only approved to a maximum crowd of 1000 at any time inside the venue. In preparation for the possible and hopeful approval, we have sold tickets online as a way to manage the contract tracing requirements.... Clubs involved in the Grand Final were sent the link for online ticket purchasing, so players and officials could purchase their tickets prior to the link going live on facebook and the HFL website. Unfortunately these sold out before we had a chance to make them available to the general public. If we are approved for a crowd of more than 1000 people, more tickets will be available immediately, with the link being sent to club officials involved before being placed on social media. Entry will also be available at the gate with cash or eftpos payment options depending on the numbers currently in the venue. If you are planning to purchase a ticket at the gate, a contract tracing form will need to be filled in for every person buying a ticket. (please have this done prior to arrival at the gate). 20.01.2022 What a great start to the weekend!! The U13s are still undefeated and won their way through to the Grand Final next week and kept the opposition scoreless!! Well done boys and girls.... it was a great team effort but we have one more game to go!! To top off the day the B Grade came out and kicked 5 goals to none in the first quarter against the previously unbeaten Ironbank to set the tone for the afternoon. They went on to win by 5 goals, again with a brilliant team effort. T...he lads were really up for the challenge and look forward to next week with confidence. Our best is certainly good enough See you all at Birdwood oval tomorrow to get the A grade through to the Grand Final. Kick off at 2.30pm

19.01.2022 Hi all, In preparation for the possibility of more than 1000 crowd number being approved for the Country division Grand Final at Kersbrook. All player & spectators (including newborns), will have to fill out the contact tracing register at these games. Pre-purchased tickets already have the contact tracing information supplied. If we are approved by SA Health to over 1000 people and you are buying tickets at the gate you will need to fill out the register and hand it to the ...gate keeper. (Register attached) This is a compulsory requirement from SA Health. We recommend all A Grade players be at the game as early as possible to alleviate any potential entry problems. 16.01.2022 The BFNC Roosters are back up and running and with great news! Most of the Senior squad has committed again for 2021 including all of last years recruits. It’s great to have all these lads stick around for another crack next year. These players, along with our local talent will benefit from playing together this year and are looking forward to next season. We are still working to strengthen our squad further with some key additions so stay tuned and watch this space!!

05.01.2022 GRAND FINAL DAY!!!!!!!! How exciting it is for our Club to have 3 teams in football and 2 teams in Netball Grand Finals today. It is a fantastic achievement for the whole Club and one we should be very proud of. The football is at Kersbrook today with the U13s starting at 9:30. After the U15s the B Grade will start at 12:30 followed by the As at 2:15pm... Over at Woodside our U15 girls start at 11am and our B3 girls will take to the court at 2pm After match presentations and tea will be back at the Football Club from 6:30pm tonight! GO ROOSTERS!!

04.01.2022 Good afternoon all, The following reminders are listed below for all players, volunteers and supporters for the game at Birdwood tomorrow. HFL Finals Series - COVID Rules... COVID Marshals All spectators and officials, including players, must respect the directions of COVID Marshals at all times Oval access Spectators are not permitted to enter the playing arena-oval at any time. Club song Players are not permitted to sing club songs in the change rooms. Club songs must be sung on the ground and players leave the oval immediately after. Alcohol - Venue Liquor licencing No alcohol is to be brought into the venue. Vehicles will be inspected by security guards on entry to the venue. Illegal alcohol will be removed. Alcohol consumption All patrons must be seated whilst consuming alcohol. Social Distancing Maintain 1.5 metre social distancing at all times. Spectators must observe all density requirements for various sections of the venue. This includes grandstands, verandas, and other spectator areas.
