18.01.2022 The long-awaited "Feast in the Forest" Centenary Cookbooks have arrived! This has been an epic project from the Black Forest parent community, sharing delicious recipes from our families, celebrating the generosity, friendships, creativity and diversity of our school. The cookbook contains over 75 recipes, each one tested and recommended by other Black Forest families so you can enjoy them in your own home. "Feast in the Forest" will be launched at 12.30pm by Michael Hewitson AM, Mayor of the City of Unley at the Centenary Gala Day on Sunday 15 September, and available for $35.00 from the merchandise tent all day. 08.01.2022 What a massive day the Centenary Gala Day was! With perfect weather, 3000 past and present students, staff, family and community members turned out to celebrate 100 years of Black Forest Primary School. A special thanks goes to all of the parents, staff and student who have spent the last year working towards this special event. Thanks too to a number of supporting organisations and businesses who have assisted through sponsorship, promotion and their participation, such as ...the City of Unley, Bone Timber, Clarence Park Community Centre, Plympton Halifax Calisthenics Club, Adelaide High School, Australian Centre Of Performing Arts, Jayne Stinson MP Member for Badcoe, Nicolle Flint Member for Boothby, FX-HZ Holden Car Club of SA and more! Thank you all for your support. While the Gala Day concludes the formal celebrations for the Black Forest Centenary, the Centenary newspapers and cookbook "Feast in the Forest" are still available from the school. We intend to produce another couple of newsletters to round out the year with the recollections of past students, and we are also working to make some of the Black Forest historical photo collection available online.
