24.01.2022 When planning a bathroom or kitchen renovation, plan in advance (as best you can) where you want the future power points and light switches; decide how you want your lights switched as well if possible (all at once, in groups, individually), Your electrician will advise when he/she quotes whether the positions you have planned are OK or not. Bear in mind some items may need to be moved due to proximity to water/gas.

22.01.2022 Time for another tip: If you're in an older house (pre 1985) you may need a rewire. By now everyone is aware that a house should have at least 2 RCD's protecting their light and power outlets. However, it's quite common in an older house for the wiring not to provide an earth at a light point. If this is the case, the wiring should be replaced, just to be on the safe side as there is no protection should the worst happen and you have a fault in the light fitting.
20.01.2022 Time for a new tip: If you need obvious electrical work done, ie. a power point or light switch replaced, please let your electrician know exactly what kind of work needs doing. I had a job today that I couldn't complete because I didn't have the required part. I was told it was a double power point, but it was a double power point with auxiliary switch.
19.01.2022 Tip for going into winter: Test your RCD's are working before the heavy rains come. If they don't trip when you press the button, get them replaced ASAP. RCD's should be tested every 3 months to ensure they function correctly. Also if you have older wiring in your place, you may get nuisance tripping from hot joins. A hot join is where the join or termination has come loose and is intermittently in and out of contact with itself.
18.01.2022 New Tip: If you're thinking of installing a Heat/Light/Fan in a bathroom area, be aware that the new switches may not be able to go where the existing ones are. According to Electrical Standards, an electrician is not required to install conduits in the walls for cables during the construction of a new house. The cable may be cut into the wall and then cemented over to ensure adequate protection. So when someone wants to change their existing light to a 3-in-1, the new wiring that needs to be run cannot go in the wall where the existing switch is. Instead it will need to be installed either on an external wall (double brick) or surface mounted in duct. The duct is the cheaper option, but it can present an eyesore if not installed in the right place.
18.01.2022 We're up and running. Servicing Perth southern metro from Mandurah to the river and out to the hills. We will travel further if necessary, however travel fees may apply if outside our 50km radius. Call Ben on 0417 928 891 or email [email protected]
15.01.2022 1st Job done. Here's a tip though - if you're in an old house and you think you may have asbestos in your roof, let the electrician know beforehand. It can save their time and your money as it changes the way we approach a task.
09.01.2022 Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to seek full time work in February 2018. I still have this business, but now run it on a Part-Time basis. Time constraints prevent me from servicing my full customer list as before.
08.01.2022 Still working on a photo lol. Can't find the camera and my phone is so old it doesn't interface with my computer anymore.
07.01.2022 Just a update on the missing Holden rodeo ute from tammin. It has been found. The sad news is all the tools and toolboxes have been taken. And keys missing. Thank you everyone and social media for the rapid response and effort by all.
06.01.2022 Showcasing the new PIXIE Smart Dimmer from SAL Technologies. Trailing Edge dimmer works with all LED lights and some other lights. The switch doesn't have to be "ON" for the bluetooth to work.
06.01.2022 I used to get annoyed by shopping centres promoting Christmas produce a month or two early... Until I realised they serve a very good purpose; they get you thinking about Christmas. From an electrical point of view, if you are thinking about entertaining over Christmas and might need more lights, fans, A/C, power points etc GET IN NOW!! From memory, last year by the first week of December my month was booked solid. I still received calls within days of Christmas asking for work to be done in time for the big day. So have a think NOW about what you may need/want done and book it in NOW!
