The club aims to be an inclusive swimming club and actively seeks to remove the barriers to learning and participation that can hinder or exclude individuals from participating in the sport of swimming. We aim to raise awareness by providing a culture where inclusion is embraced by... all members of the club, and programs and pathways are provided for all swimmers, irrespective of who they are. The Brisbane Grammar Swimming Club provides facilities that are accessible for all swimmers within the club. This includes accessible parking, wheelchair access to the pool and facilities including automated pool hoist, accessible change rooms fitted with electronic sling and hoist, slip resistant floors and ramps/elevator access to all levels.

08.01.2022 Welcome to the Brisbane Grammar School Swimming Program. Our Program has a fantastic facility based at one of Australias leading schools, Brisbane Grammar. The indoor, ten lane, FINA standard swimming pool provides a year round training base for the swimming program. Our program also has unlimited access to two 50m pools within 2km of the school. Brisbane Grammar School has long been associated with swimming success, beginning with BGS Old Boy Frank Gailey, winning 4 gold me...dals at the 1904 St. Louis Olympics. More recently, the BGS program has placed a swimmer on every Australian Team since 2015. BGSs Director of Swimming, Mr David Lush, was recently named Australian Coach of the Year, for GOLD MEDAL Performances at the meets below; 2015 World Swimming Championships 2015 World Junior Swimming Championships 2016 Rio Olympic Games 2017 World Championships 2018 Commonwealth Games The swimming program continues to focus on preparing boys and girls to compete at the GPS and QGSSSA Swimming Championships, the QLD State and Australian Age Championships, as well as Local, District and School Competitions. 05.01.2022 New members are welcomed into the club at anytime during the year. It is a requirement for all participants of the BGS Swimming program to become members. All members will need to complete a Membership Form each financial year.... Please note that members who join mid-season will not be offered a reduced annual membership fee. The Brisbane Grammar Swimming Program is fortunate to have a team of quality coaching staff, therefore in order to best serve swimmers needs, your first step would be to arrange for an assessment. Assessments are conducted on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (3:30pm-5:30pm) by appointment. The assessment goes for the full 2 hours. Our Tuesday and Thursday sessions include a 60min dry-land session, therefore all swimmers need to bring PE uniform (or equivalent) including joggers as well as their swimming attire.
