17.01.2022 The Wellington Dam Mural is progressing @ a great pace, considering the weather conditions that the artist is working in! Here are a couple of photos from late ...yesterday. Guido says that whenever he does a painting it is always going to reflect the people who surround it. Come to Wellington dam to see an often forgotten utilitaran structure rebirthed by Guido and fellow artist Ian . #colliemuraltrail #visitcollie #HolidayHereThisYear #wanderoutyonder #australiassouthwest#colliemuraltrail #holidayherethisyear #australiassouthwest #wanderoutyonder #visitcollie #guidovanhelten See more

06.01.2022 WILDFLOWER WALK, HARVEY The Wildflower Walk is certainly living up to it's name at the moment, with splashes of colour every where you look. Purple tassels, mi...lk maids, colourful pea flowers, white pimelea, scented myrtle, wattle, yellow hibbertia, egg and bacon bush, grevillea, kangaroo paws and lots of others that I don't know the names of. But the real special find was the orchids. There were cowslips, spider orchids and donkey orchids. And heaps of them too! With the sun shining, the sky blue and the paddocks still green, now is the perfect time to hike this trail. It is only 1.4 km long but today it took me two whole hours to do the loop, while I stopped to take over 100 photos. They are only taken on my mobile phone so they are not the best quality, but that just means you will need to go and see them first hand yourself! For details on where to go, click here http://trailswa.com.au/trails/wildflower-walk-harvey Harvey Visitor Centre Visit Bunbury Geographe Trails WA Harvey-Waroona Reporter

01.01.2022 YOUR COLLIE PHOTOS NEEDED Do you have family stories about the Collie River and Wellington National Park? If so, we invite you to share them! They could be the ...inspiration for the design of the mural going on the Wellington Dam! World-renowned artist Guido van Helten is the lead artist on the project and is seeking community consultation for the design of the Wellington Dam mural. The artist will be at the Coalfields Museum and Historical Research Centre in Collie this Thursday 8th October between 1pm and 6pm. Residents are encouraged to bring along photos to help van Helten gain an understanding of Collie’s history before he designs the artwork. The $1.5 million mural trail project, funded by the State Government, will give people even more reason to visit Collie, helping to grow the local tourism industry.
