23.01.2022 ABAC version of Druk Zhung Dhi Na Ga Wa Lu...Happy 113th National Day to all.

21.01.2022 One new COVID-19 case has been confirmed in the ACT over the last 24 hours. Read more: https://ab.co/3iFCGW1 ACT Health says the man in his 20s is a close conta...ct of one of the three cases confirmed yesterday. He was at the Vodafone store in Gungahlin on Monday July 6 between 3pm and 3:30pm. The original three cases were linked to the Victorian outbreak, with two of them returning from a Melbourne hotspot a day before mandatory self-isolation. Stage three restrictions will also be postponed they were due to ease as of midday tomorrow. There will be more information later this afternoon during a live briefing.

21.01.2022 The ACT Government will be progressing to Stage 3 of Canberra’s Recovery Plan from 12 noon this Friday 10 July. The following changes will take place: All ve...nues, facilities and businesses can have gatherings of 25 people, or one person per 4 square metres of usable space (excluding staff) whichever is greater. Outdoor gatherings can have up to 250 people, unless otherwise stated in the Directions. Professional events are to be ticketed, and spectators are to be seated. Sporting and entertainment venues with tiered patron seating should be no more than 25% of total seating capacity. Food courts can reopen for dine-in. Casinos, gaming and gambling venues can reopen. Bars, pubs and clubs are able to serve alcohol to seated patrons, with no limit on group size. Nightclubs can operate as bars if they wish. Steam-based services, including saunas, steam rooms, steam cabinets and bathhouses can reopen. Full contact sports, dance and martial arts competitions will be allowed. Outdoor community sports can have up to 250 spectators across the site (excluding staff and participants). Up to 25 patrons will be permitted at an unstaffed gym, health club and fitness facility. More detail on the changes www.covid19.act.gov.au/changes The final decision to proceed with easing of restrictions will be based on advice from the ACT Chief Health Officer and will follow a thorough public health assessment of the situation here in the ACT. In response to the situation in Victoria, the ACT has taken extra measures to manage risk factors and allow us to continue with Stage 3 of Canberra’s Recovery Plan. This includes: Extending the ACT State of Emergency to Friday 21 August. Joining NSW in temporarily closing our borders to Victoria. Introducing a mandatory 14-day quarantine for ACT residents returning to the Territory from Victoria. Be sensible and exercise common sense. The pandemic is not over. Restrictions have eased but our responsibilities haven’t. It’s important we all continue to practise good hygiene, maintain 1.5 metres from others, stay home if we’re unwell and get tested if we have COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild. If you haven’t already, download the COVIDSafe app www.covidsafe.gov.au and leave your first name and number with businesses to assist with contact tracing if required. We all have a part to play during this pandemic. Don’t let complacency set us back.

08.01.2022 ACT Health advice on COVID-19 hot spots in Victoria In the light of rising COVID-19 hot spots in Victoria and some cases reported in parts of other neigbhouring states communities, we still got to be cautious and staying safe! Please continue following the health advices seriously. ... The ACT Government has notified their advice to NOT to travel to Victoria and other affected communities to avoid bringing COVID-19 into the ACT. Anyone coming to the ACT from Melbourne should monitor themselves very closely for symptoms and to 'isolate' themselves from others and seek testing even with the mildest of symptoms such as a runny nose or scratchy throat. Please refer the ACT health advice notification below for details. We like to urge the community members to sincerely and strictly adhere to the existing health advices to help avoid bringing COVID-19 into our Canberra community! Stay safe. 07.01.2022 ACT COVID-19 update (8 July 2020) There have been 3 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the ACT in the past 24 hours. This brings the ACT’s total to 111. The thre...e individuals are one female and two males aged in their 20s. Two of the individuals arrived in the ACT from a Melbourne hotspot on Thursday 2 July 2020 and the other is a household contact. A small number of close contacts have been identified and are being managed in accordance with the National Guidelines. Prior to being tested, the three individuals had visited the Fyshwick Markets on Saturday 4 July between 3pm and 4pm and Westfield Belconnen on Monday 6 July between 12pm and 12:30pm. ACT Chief Health Officer Dr Kerryn Coleman said the risk to the broader community was low, however anyone who attended these locations during these times should be vigilant and monitor themselves for symptoms. We are confident the risk to the broader ACT community is low, Dr Coleman said. However this is a very important reminder of the ongoing pandemic and the risk posed by the outbreak currently evolving in Melbourne. Anyone who has been in Melbourne in the past two weeks should monitor themselves for symptoms and be vigilant. From 12.01am today, the ACT has closed its borders for anyone travelling into the ACT from Victoria, unless you have an exemption to enter. ACT residents are approved to return to their home, subject to entering quarantine for a period of 14 days, from the day after leaving Victoria. ACT residents must notify ACT Health of their intention to enter the ACT. Details on how to this are available on the COVID-19 website. We will be checking compliance in partnership with ACT Policing. Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms should attend one of our testing centres to be tested. This is why we have implemented new Public Health Directions that restrict travel to the ACT from Victoria. It is also a critical reminder that no one should be travelling to Victoria except for absolutely essential reasons, said Dr Coleman. Do not travel to Victoria for any reason other than absolutely essential purposes. Once you return to the ACT, you will be required to quarantine for 14 days. We again ask Canberrans to remember four requirements in any situation they face in the coming weeks: 1. Avoid large crowds 2. Keep 1.5 metres apart whenever possible 3. Continue good hand and respiratory hygiene 4. Stay home if you are unwell and get tested if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. The ACT Government also has a helpline to assist Canberrans through the challenges of COVID-19. The COVID-19 Helpline is 02 6207 7244 and open between 8am and 8pm daily. People who are concerned and want further information on the virus, can also call the Australian Government’s Coronavirus Health Information Line on 1800 020 080. The line operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. www.covid19.act.gov.au

04.01.2022 Are you an ACT resident returning back to the Territory from Victoria? Please get in touch with us to discuss your 14-day quarantine arrangements. Household mem...bers in quarantine would ideally have a separate bedroom, bathroom and should avoid spending time in communal spaces at the same time as other people in the home who are not in quarantine.
