25.01.2022 One of the things we dig about summer flings is that when the calendar rolls around to February 14th, its just another day...! (Though speaking for ourselves, we have way too much loooourve to give to cram into 24hours!) So as always, this Thursday from 6.30pm at Bia Hoi, the beer will be cold & the food will be hot hot hot - a perfect match for the forecast top of 31C.

24.01.2022 Well, we always did say we were here for a good time, not a long time, and that time is almost here. Yep the sun is setting on our summer fling on Sunday 24 March. Weve had a blast, and want to say goodbye in style, so were doing something a little bit special. Think: cocktail on arrival, six of Toms most requested dishes of the summer*, loads of ice cold Bia Hanoi, and spunky tunes from the decks thanks to LT and Senor Was. 60 tickets, $60 all inclusive, 6.30pm till 10.30pm. Prepayment is essential to secure your spot - but be quick, this event will sell out! Email us at [email protected] for further details. 24.01.2022 As much as we'd like to replicate our first 'family meal' had in the far-north hills of Bac Ha (the delicacy of chicken bollocks NOT included), we thought we'd do it a little more 'style-y'... with Thursday 21st March being our last 'a la carte' service, we're spicing it up for the actual last night of this, our summer fling. 22.01.2022 Tomorrow creeps us towards the half way mark of our delicious summer fling! As we seem to have got much quicker at setting up, we reckon we are going to try to open at 6pm tomorrow- or there about. If we get enough people there at 6ishhh, maybe we will make a habit of it..... either way see you at beer oclock!

18.01.2022 Too hot to cook? We had it all lined up tonight... And will also have on Sunday night, and next Thursday night, and the following Sunday and then the Thursday after that...But not too much longer after that. Last day 24 March. Be quick or bewail, but just BIA HOI!

17.01.2022 Bia Hoi in Vietnam had yummy fresh beer. BUT, its not all about the beer. Our food has been a major talking point. When you see the cost of most things at the food and wine festival- just begun. Its nice to see that we are still punching way over our weight on price, fun and YUM! Bia Hoi offers you a final three weeks of our own Vietnamese festival in good old Brunswick East.... Where everything is nice and cheap cheap! Due to last min hitches with arranging well priced fresh small batch keg beer we are finishing out our Summer Fling with cold, freshly flown in Hanoi Beer. Three new dishes on the menu tonight - beef wrapped in betel leaves with water chestnuts (picture below) - pork belly slow cooked with shrimp paste - a fresh new salad of green papaya and banana blossom... The new fresh beer is definitely going to find plenty of Bia Hoi dance partners across the menu tonight!

Heres a little heads-up to get your tastebuds going: - chargrilled squid salad with pickled vegetables, herbs and bean shoots - pork spare ribs braised in fresh coconut juice with garlic & chilli (check out the pic below!!) Didnt intend to sell out so quickly but like the python that was eyeing off the team earlier in the day, a few large groups came in and swallowed us whole!! Weve got our groove on now and with six weeks of Bia Hoi still ahead of us we are more than ever- here for your good time but not a long time...
