25.01.2022 The glowing Medjool Date is a perfect sweet food for me. Packed with Selenium (a potent antioxidant that aids in regulating your immune function), they are high in their Iron content (perfect for nourishing blood), are rich in dietary fibre, and this is just to note a few benefits! They are perfect with a teaspoon of unhulled tahini and a sprinkle of cacao nibs. But if youre up for a special treat for friends or lovers then try this baby...Dark Choc & Date Flat Cake. Amazingly yummy, even better with a cup of tea and an avo chit-chat. Email me for the details on this one xx
25.01.2022 Celebrate the Easter holiday with this yummy number - CHOC BANANA SMOOTHIE. 1 cup Almond Milk, 1 heaped tsp Cacao Powder, half a Banana, 1 Medjool Date, 1 heaped Tbs Coyo, 1 tsp Sunflower Seeds, 1 tsp Maca Powder, 1 scoop Sun Warrior Raw Protein Powder. Sprinkle Cacao Nibs on top. Its sweet and filling and so much better than a commercial Easter Egg
24.01.2022 SPINE TWIST: the exercise that is an essential - picture how you sit at your desk at work and master this...seated upright, make sure the pelvis in neutral, your legs are long in front or crossed. Stabilise the scapular throughout as you twist from the centre. Your external and internal obliques work together to rotate the spine either side. Maintain your height as the crown reaches to the ceiling. Works a treat!!!
23.01.2022 So Im calling it my Autumn Tummy Warmer, all the colours of the rainbow and covering just about every nutrient-rich base there is. Fry up in Extra Virgin Olive Oil some Garlic, Chilli and Pesto. Then add mince (I use the Demeter Biodynamic Beef Mince) and brown. Then add your chopped up veg.....Purple Carrot, Purple Sweet Potato, Sweet Potato, Broccoli, Kale, Celery and a can of Organic Diced Tomatoes. Add some salt and mix. Add a cup of Organic and washed Buckwheat Groats and half a cup of Water. Simmer for 30-45 minutes. You could serve it on a nice piece of crusty sourdough perhaps. This couldnt be more perfect on a night like Melbourne is hosting this evening. Stay warm xx

20.01.2022 If you know me well, then you know I love chocolate. So much so, I've started to have a serious go at making my own. This little raw baby is just the way I like my chocolate - pure cacao ingredients with some additional organic goodies. Cacao is the real reason some spruik the benefits of chocolate. Cacao in it's pure form is full of antioxidants and the minerals magnesium and sulfur. Cacao in its butter form supplies essentials fats - oleic acid - great for cardiovascular health. And how could I forget cacao's effect on neurotransmitters - all the "feel good" chemicals that are released when we consume it. YUUUUUUMMMMM!!!
20.01.2022 Chia, the amazing Aztec and Mayan superfood. What a great way to increase omega 3's through your diet. And sooooo, why not try this Friday night yummy dessert. A Choc Berry Chia Rainbow. Make Chia pudding with hemp seeds, cacao and almond milk. Then make a berry syrup with organic frozen berries, cloves, star anise and agave. Layer ingredients with Coyo and sprinkle Cacao Nibs on top. It is my absolute fav xx

18.01.2022 I forgot the frozen raspberries x
18.01.2022 I made this chunky number a little while back for some very close friends of mine. It's a FISH SHEPHERDS PIE inspired by Jude Blereau. I love eating fish regularly because the benefits match the yummy taste. Rich in Omega 3 Essential Fatty Acids, oily fish like tuna (from fresh seafood markets), are so important because our body cannot produce them itself. And the reason we need Omega 3 EFA's is for joint health, healthy cholesterol levels, brain cell function, the list goes on. So.....since it is so brrrr cold in Melbourne now, why not mix up your normal shepherds pie with this fish alternative. The base is simply garlic, basil, oregano, balsamic, olive oil, chopped tomatoes, kalamata olives, butter and fish fillets. Served with chunky potato slices, it hits the spot xx

13.01.2022 These Corn Jacks are the spelt! Yup, hubby doesnt like spelt but devoured these in a second. Whisk 2 egg yolks with 1 cup of St David Dairy milk (oh yum), then whisk in smidge over 1/2 cup spelt flour, 1/2 cup chickpea flour, 2 tsp gluten free baking powder until smooth. Then stir in 2 cups corn of cob, 1 grated zucchini (remove excess moisture), 1/2 cup cheddar cheese and 2 Tbs chives. Whisk the egg whites and mix in. Fry corn jacks 3 at a time in pan. I served these with free range bacon, rocket and a tiny crumble of feta. They really are yum xx
12.01.2022 This morning was my 16km training session for RUN THE ROCK. Melbourne is a pretty flat city - dont think Hanging Rock will be as cruisey and nice to my legs. Thanks to everyone who has been so generous and donated money to the Cancer Council of Victoria (CCV). I am over half way to the $500 goal. This money will be put towards cancer research programs and support networks that are available through CCV xxx

11.01.2022 10 days until RUN THE ROCK. The main reason I decided to take part in the Run and Fundraising aspect is because of my Grandfather. He was my best friend and unfortunately passed away from cancer in 2006. I lived with him towards the end of his life and came across alot of people that supported his journey ie. nurses, specialists, counsellors. These people do great work and I want them to continue being supported financially. I also want to contribute to the specialist research that happens in CCV and love the idea that even a small amount of funds can help results. THOSE THAT HAVE SPONSORED MY RUN, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU! Your generosity has blown me away - youre amazing. If youre thinking about donating please use the link http://www.everydayhero.com.au/bianca_evans

10.01.2022 It's freezing here in Melbourne. So in an attempt to warm up the bod, I'm giving the slow cooker a good workout. Try this PULLED BEEF & TOMATO SOUP. It's so yummy! I used two large pieces of biodynamic rump steak, 1 cup of beef stock, organic diced tomatoes, organic purple carrots, organic diced potato, thyme, oregano, pepper, chilli, garlic, onion and cumin. It's healthy, wholesome winter eating xx
10.01.2022 What an amazing day up at Hanging Rock. 19km in 1 Hour 36 Min. Not too bad I say. Main point though, WE RAISED OVER $1500 FOR CANCER COUNCIL VIC!!! Such a big thankyou to the following, youre the stars in my life: Matt Ryley, Grant Forde, Maber Family, Hickey Family, Alison & Daniel Proietto, Cj & Kate, Trevor & Liz, Lenehan Family, Mum and Dad Evans, Lydia McPartlin, Hank & Nguyet, Cheng & Luke, McGlinchey Family, Kelly, Melissa (LookBook Boutique), Burgess Family, Jennifer Garrison, Tina, Puspa ODonnell, Dian Good, Daniel Kelly, Ped & Mais, Howes Family, Collins Family, Mcleish Family, the Dogs (he he) Tys, Teg, my very supportive Mum & Dad, and my beautiful husband and best friend Ben. 07.01.2022 Oh and add 1 cup of red kidney beans towards the end of cooking
07.01.2022 A capsicum brekkie bomb - inspired by the sad empty fridge staring back at me. Filled with scrambled happy eggs, kale and a smidge of organic butter. Sprinkled with hemp seeds, pepitas and a sprinkle of salt flakes. This keeps you full right up to lunch. And it tastes amazing! Xx
06.01.2022 The humble PUSH UP...a great challenge for all body types as it challenges a neutral alignment throughout the body. Standing at the top of your mat, with the spine and pelvis in a neutral position, feet hip width apart, roll down through the spine one vertebra at a time. Use 3-4 counts to walk the hands out into a plank position. You are looking for 1 long line in your plank with scapula set in the correct position ie. flat on the ribcage - no winging or wrapping around sides. Maintaining this neutral spine, push down for 3 counts and up for 1. Repeat 3 times before walking the hands in and rolling up through the spine to your starting position. VOILA!!! Strength like steel!

06.01.2022 RUN THE ROCK. Sadly some, if not many of us, know a loved one affected by cancer. I thought it was time I got off my butt and tried to make a difference. So on 27th of April I will run 19km to help raise money for CANCER COUNCIL VICTORIA. Please help me raise $500 by donating at http://www.everydayhero.com.au/bianca_evans Your donation DOES NOT have to be big. $1 or $2 would be equally appreciated as $10 or $20

02.01.2022 Cacao Coconut cake fail. After making this the other night I was super disappointed. It was so bland! And I dont mind bland but this left my taste buds sad. So Id love some suggestions how to make it so much better. Little note though, Id love it to be a healthy and organic modification. Heres what I used: dry mix 100g coconut flour, 50g cacao powder both sifted. Wet mix 500ml almond milk, 120g butter, 200g brown rice syrup, 3 heaped desert spoons ABC spread, 4 eggs, tsp vanilla extract. Folded both mixtures together and baked for 50min. Topped with raspberry jam (frozen raspberries, tsp cinnamon, star anise, ginger and agave). It has potential xx
