21.01.2022 Thanks for having me on your show @lorraineremarks Loved sharing my business story with you. Click the Link in Bio to hear the podcast. Episode 69 Business Trailblazers: Bianca Monley from Eat Fit Food On Staying Relevant... In this week’s episode, Lorraine interviews me on my business journey. I’m thrilled to share a chat with one of my entrepreneurial buddies. This woman is the epitome of a business visionary she saw an opportunity and started an industry, a whole 18 years ago! Food delivery is one of the fastest growing (and most competitive) industries. Bianca Monley founded Eat Fit Food at the age of 22, and ran the business until she sold it in 2018. And she did years of running the business with three kids under 3 gulp. A year on from selling the business, we had a very honest and very far-ranging conversation about the highs and lows of her business journey, including: Her experience of being an entrepreneur before it was a thing and starting a health company long before it was cool to wear activewear outside the gym! * How she started an industry 18 years ago * How the costs of scaling meant she didn’t make any money for ten years * Ensuring the values of her business permeated right through the culture from team members to customers * How reinvention was the key to Eat Fit Food staying relevant for 18 years, in what became an incredibly competitive industry * Overcoming her paralysing fear of leading a team The 51% boss/49% friend rule * Her motto of nail before you scale, and how she lived that lesson in her business * The tech headaches that cost the business $600k * The two A-list celebrities that changed the game for the business * The single scariest time she has experienced as an entrepreneur * The grief that came with selling her first business CLICK TO LISTEN https://omny.fm/shows/the-lorraine-murphy-show/bianca-monley
20.01.2022 Whether your small business or start-up has experienced hardship from a crisis or not, always being prepared is a tactic I recommend all businesses to embrace. Minimising the hit and maximising the opportunity is only a matter of future proofing your business through preparation strategy, and it’s something you will not regret. After 18 years of running my business, the one thing I had to do constantly was pause, pivot and recreate the future. Just before the GFC hit my busin...ess was thriving, with plans to upgrade to a larger production kitchen and increase employment of staff to fulfil exponential growth in demand. As I was about to sign the new lease which would have doubled my outgoings, the GFC hit and within what felt like seconds, I lost 50% of my customers. Living in the midst of this pandemic and working with clients through these times has reminded me of my experience, and so I wanted to share some practical tips with you on how to survive & thrive in these times. Here are my 5 WAYS TO THRIVE IN UNCERTAINTY https://www.biancamonley.com//5-ways-to-survive-thrive-in- See more

19.01.2022 WORK ON YOUR TOP PRIORITY PROJECT The quiet hours of the morning can be the ideal time to focus on an important work project without being interrupted. What’s more important is spending time on it at the beginning of the day ensures that it gets the attention before others kids, bosses, employees, colleagues use it up. Put it in the diary and make it your priority so you don’t get bogged down with the little tasks. Check out the link to my blog for more tips :-) https://www.biancamonley.com//5-morning-rituals-that-will/
19.01.2022 PLAN AND STRATEGISE WHILE YOU ARE FRESH Planning the day, week and month ahead is an important strategy tool for success. Use the mornings to do the big picture tasks that help prioritise and set the trajectory of the day.... A daily ritual makes the days more manageable and effective. Each morning write the top 10 tasks that need to be completed throughout the day. Then prioritise the top three and complete them first. These ones are usually the tasks that make the biggest impact towards you bigger goals. Let's make today a productive one :-)
18.01.2022 Self belief is a super power
17.01.2022 Last week I had the dreaded job of moving house. I found myself surrounded by unpacked boxes and as much as a 6, 5 and 4 year old are helpful, there was stuff everywhere. I was excited about new beginnings and once everything was out of the old house, I found myself feeling completely overwhelmed and a little stuck. It seems strange because over the years the times where I have felt stuck have been the most pivotal times in my life and in my business. It's a time to stop, re...group and make the appropriate changes to move forward. With COVID 19 now a big part of our lives, everything is changing at a rapid rate. It's unfamiliar and not knowing what tomorrow will bring can ingrain that "stuck" feeling. Believe it or not, even those people you see who seem to somehow have it all together feel this way. And I’m no exception, you should see my house at crazy hour. As a Mum of 3 young children and juggling a few businesses, somedays I just want to stay in bed and not deal with a single thing. That's usually the big sign for recognising that 'stuck' feeling and tackling it head on. Here's a few tips I wrote that seem to work a treat for me. 8 Ways To Get Unstuck #linkinbio
17.01.2022 When I started my business I was 22 and fresh out of waitressing. I had no previous experience and no idea how to build a business. So I stumbled my way through and ended up creating something pretty incredible. The secret was to always having a clear vision and strategy. Often it was on the back of a napkin at a restaurant after a few wines but it was always a big part of how I built my business. ... Only a few years ago I was deep in it putting in crazy hours, constantly reinventing the wheel and doing whatever it took to stay ahead of the competition. YEP I had to work all this stuff out on my own early on with so much trial and error and it wasn’t always fun. It felt kinda like a jigsaw puzzle with so many pieces that I had to put together without knowing what the pieces were or even where they were hiding. These days it's a different kinda puzzle .... 3 gorgeous children, a tree change and being fortunate enough to have the time to help other entrepreneurs. As I only work with a select few clients at one time I excited to be opening up 2 new vacancies into my mentoring program this week. In just 3 months we will have you back in control and a master strategy for the future of your business. If you think this could be you simply shoot through a PM and we'll have a chat to see if we are a match :-)
16.01.2022 End of a super awesome week. So proud of my clients absolutely killing it with their businesses. It’s ceases to amaze me what we are capable of when we are held accountable and put our energy into making sh*t happen. Happy Friday peeps
15.01.2022 Guess what? Hiccups happen. In fact, hiccups are something us crazy entrepreneurs are brilliant at creating. One thing I share with my clients is my fair share of failures, whether that be bad investments, judgements or creations. Things just simply don’t always turn out the way you may anticipate they should.... Constant re-creation and ‘get up again’ moments are what gives us a thick skin and drive us to do better next time or as I like to call it ‘the attitude of the game-changer’. Here’s how I learnt from these 3 creations that didn’t go down the way I quite liked. Up now on my blog .... 15.01.2022 Flashback to the day I won the @veuveclicquot award and was about to launch Australia's first ever fresh food vending machine. On the outside it looked amazing, on the inside I was a mess. I had a newborn, a 14 month old and the little ballerina on the floor was just 2 and a half. ... With very little sleep, farming vegetables on the weekends and about launch Australia's very first fresh food vending machine let's just say I may have had a few things going on. Get your diary out and plan everything, put in the calendar and especially add these important ones below so you can be the best possible version of yourself for everyone that crosses your path. 1 - Quiet time just for you Meditation is an incredible tool I use to recharge. 07.01.2022 True story Who does this make you think of?
05.01.2022 We put children in time out for a reason. It gives them the time and space they need to reset. This precious time we have right now is a gift. We can use it as a time to pause, reflect, reset and create what ever future we want. Often we are blind when running on life's treadmill we simply can't see opportunities that lay right in front of us.
