Commencing in late 2019, the redevelopment will: Replace the original eight-lane 50 metre pool with a new, multi-functional 10-lane pool in-keeping with high performance classification Renew the learn to swim pool to provide a more contemporary facility with direct links to public amenities Establish a new entry, reception and administration area, first aid and public amenities Provide additional car parking and bus set-down facilities. Construction timelines and impacts From early December, some minor works will commence. This won’t affect visitors to the centre. From 13 January 2020, major works will commence with the 10-lane 50 metre pool and change amenities remaining open and all other facilities closing during construction. Rackleys is working with the City to install a temporary learn to swim pool. Normal truck movements will occur in and around the site with some temporary road closures on Sonia Street from time to time. The entry and kiosk will move to the left of the centre from early January. Wayfinding signage will be in place to guide visitors. For program changes affecting you or your family, please check with the pool manager Rackleys to confirm We apologise for the temporary disruption while we build a better facility that will serve the community for generations to come. This exciting project forms part of a greater vision for our City’s world-class health and recreation facilities and we look forward to unveiling our new and improved facility in early 2021.

We went unconditional yesterday, the father called me and told me he was planning to surprise his family by taking the day off work to go over and put up the sold sticker together, as it also happened to his daughters 9th birthday!! This family has worked hard their entire life for this moment, and you couldn't pick a more deserving bunch of genuine people! You think this would be basic courtesy but I cant tell you the amount of times I have seen and heard about cab drivers not doing this, in particular for my own grandmother - so much so that she is petrified of catching a cab now days because of her previous experiences.
