23.01.2022 When I started my first business back in 2016, I didn't realise how isolating being a solo-preneur can be at times. Yes its wonderful to connect with your ideal clients everyday. Yes it is wonderful to be able to create your own schedule to suit your lifestyle. ... And yes is so rewarding knowing that you are working on your own passion project everyday. But it can also feel like nothing but *crickets* when you don't have anyone to share your triumphs with.... Or that you have anyone to lean into in your facedown moments (and trust me I have had plenty of those as a newbie in business). I was craving the energy of like-minded women who also wanted to create magic with their lives. So I went looking for my girl gang... and I found them. Every month we host a 'Brunching Babes' networking event for women in business. No matter where you in business- whether you are a newbie, have taken off your training wheels or are are the top of your game this monthly brunching event is perfect to help connect women with big visions. If there's one thing I have learned - connection and community are key components to support your journey to success. So if you love good food, laughs and high energy with women on a similar mission then you absolutely want to come to the next event. Send me a message so we can connect and I can share details with you!
21.01.2022 How does exercise affect gut bacteria? It may seem like an unlikely connection. However, research demonstrates that exercise supports the activity of the health promoting bacteria in your gut. ... One study found the participants who committed to 3 x 60 minute cardio sessions per week (think fat burning walks!) saw an increase in the activity of bacteria which produce anti-inflammatory substances. These anti-inflammatory substances are called 'short chain fatty acids', and help to drive down inflammation in the body, regulate appetite and provide a healthy fuel sources for the cells that line your gut. Pretty neat, huh! The catch? In order to sustain these benefits, the activity needs to be maintained. The same study found that after a washout period with no exercise, the production of these anti-inflammatory substances returned back to baseline. The message? Consistency is key to experience long term results!

21.01.2022 Doing our part to make a difference to the lives of others! Today we donated $3000 to Crohns and Colitis Australia Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are lifelong inflammatory bowel conditions that affect the lives of more than 80,000 Australians. The conditions are becoming increasingly common, more severe and more complex to treat. During a flare, the gut can become so inflamed and severely impact the quality of life for those who suffer with these conditions. In extre...me cases it may warrant surgery to remove affected parts of the bowel Understanding the link between the gut microbiome and the onset of these conditions is still an area of active research. But in time we hope to have more answers and to share these with the world Microba
21.01.2022 If there is one key thing I have learned through my years of personal development work, it is that in order for you to attract more into your life.. You need to become more. ... and in order to become more, you need to go to work on identifying and eliminating any underlying self limiting beliefs that are holding you back from being your most authentic self. ... See, when you start thinking differently... you also start feeling and acting differently too. Your vibration changes - it places you at a higher frequency - and you start attracting more of what you truely desire in your life... and no more of what you don’t want. After experiencing a complete mental, emotional, physical and spiritual transformation, I realised my purpose in this lifetime was to teach more women how to do the same. Therefore, I am excited to officially announce that..... 14.01.2022 A week ago I presented my first Gut Health Workshop. I love inspiring people to take care of their health from the inside out. It was such an honour to share my knowledge on this subject with over 80 people The health industry has come a long way in recognising how integral our digestive system is to our health. This incredible system of organs helps us to not only extract all the valuable nutrition from the food we eat, like vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, fats and proteins, it is also our first line of defence against any invading bacteria or toxins that could compromise our health. Not only that, our digestive system is the home to our largest population of symbiotic bacteria that help to promote health in our body. When was the last time you stopped to appreciate how your gut takes care of you?

07.01.2022 I am on a mission to be the healthiest version of myself. The more I research about the human gut microbiome, the more I appreciate just how much our daily habits impact our overall health. Everyone gets ‘the message’ in their own way and in their own time. For me the message is getting the most out of each day, for as long as I possibly can. I want to be a centenarian. The industrial revolution has been the biggest blessing, and also the biggest curse to our current generat...ions. We are struggling with more chronic health problems than ever before. When you look at what’s changed, all eyes are on the food industry. We’ve been brain washed to believe ‘low calorie = healthy’. Let’s just ignore what chemical processing went in to making that food taste amazing, whilst extracting all nutritional content, shall we? I’m making a point of cooking everything I can from scratch moving forward. If I need to rely on items of convenience, you better believe it’s not happening if it has any additives, artificial colours, sweetness, flavours, preservatives or fillers on the label. A good way to think of it is like this: as humans, we were never designed to process or use any additives, preservatives or fillers for energy, nor nutrition. We just don’t have the equipment to properly break it down. So why are we putting these things in our bodies?

05.01.2022 What’s your morning ritual? I have to confess Bellas, this week I broke my morning ritualbut it was to enjoy a healthy brunch with one of my good friends, @brityallop so that’s allowed! In order to be my best self, I have a simple morning ritual that I would like to share with you... and maybe we can even give each other some great ideas on the most amazing (or impactful) ways to start our days.... I set my alarm for the same time every day close to sunrise to keep my natural circadian rhythms flowing. The first thing I do after I wake is take 10 minutes to do a gentle full body stretch before practising deep breathing for 5 or 10 minutes. Then, I prepare my digestive system for the day by enjoying a big mug of boiling water infused with fresh ginger and lemon and wait 30 minutes before I eat breakfast. It took some adjusting to get into this flow, but now it’s the usual way I start my day. I’d love to know your morning rituals. Feel free to share below
