12.01.2022 Yeah, we're in iso again. After only two weeks of being back at work and the gym we're closed down again. It's pretty disappointing, but we've been here. We know that we've got this. We we're locked down for 14 weeks last time, it was such a rollercoaster of emotions it was exhausting. I was fired, re-hired, worked from home, helped Layla with remote learning, not to mention the dramas of having teen and pre teen issues to deal with that divided our household. It was so muc...h change that I wasn't ready for. My mental health took a HUGE hit and I'm still dealing with those emotions. I have a CHOICE, to slip back into unhealthy, detrimental behaviour or to embrace this time and use it to my advantage. I would love to continue to help and support others so please feel free to reach out if you need help with your health and fitness while stuck at home. Even if you just need someone to talk to, please reach out to me! @yhaf_cranbourne Our gym is running a 6 week challenge over this time which is an awesome incentive to keep moving! $1000 is up for grabs for the most dedicated to the challenge. 01.01.2022 For today's workout I decided to get out of the gym and head to the beautiful Sweetwater Creek Reserve. After a 10 minute jog I found a good set of 28 stairs to sprint up and down. The workout consisted of continuous sets AND rest between. All up I sprinted up and down 36 times... This week has been a struggle mentally and it has really affected my workouts, I'm not lifting to my full potential so I decided to give it a rest and get some cardio in. I'm smiling now and so glad I got myself out of the house. happy hump day! I'd love to know what you have done lately to improve your own mental health... Or what gets you out of bed on those struggle days!
