23.01.2022 MYCRICKET LIVE SCORING The scores are live on MyCricket today for both 2nd Grade and 4th Grade. Both teams are bowling

17.01.2022 Awesome Anthony Blitzes Bulldogs; Cust Cashes in Late for Rats Bicton Attadale Cricket Club all-rounder Aiden Anthony produced yet another blistering assault on... a 2nd grade bowling attack in the summer of 2019/20, smashing 130 from just 91 balls against Kelmscott Senior Cricket Club to put his side in a strong position in the Swans two-day fixture at Fremantle Park that commenced Saturday. In other progress scores from the opening week of round eleven Riverton-Rostrata posted in excess of 200 against Jandakot Park thanks to all-rounder Matthew Cust’s 73, Roleystone-Karragullen’s batsmen fired yet again as they racked up 234 against Armadale at Cross Park, while Geoff Perera’s 76 for Kwinana against Willetton countered Chris Chellew’s four wickets in an even first day at Burrendah Reserve. Bicton-Attadale were on a two-game losing run heading in to the return of two-day cricket in round eleven, their opponents Kelmscott on a three-game winning streak through the one-day leg of the season. The Swans won the toss and chose to bat first, denying Kelmscott the chance to put their feet up and bat the duration of the day with the one-day final to come the following day. Openers Campbell Putland (10) and Austin Main (20) got starts but couldn’t go on with things, leaving Bicton-Attadale 2-48 with wickets each for Siddharth Singh and Arvind Singh Sajwan the successful bowlers. Jarrad Holt and Aiden Anthony then came together and controlled the innings for their team, Holt hanging in there and batting time while Anthony once again freed his arms and dominating every bowler who was put before him. He had fifty in forty balls, somewhat slow by his standards this season but building in an ominous fashion as his opponents couldn’t find a way to dislodge him. The partnership between the two experienced Swans had reached 97 when Holt’s stay of more than two hours was ended, Bulldogs skipper Steve Abbott dismissing him for 38. From there Anthony took control of proceedings, adding 57 for the fourth wicket with new man Lachlan Bennett as he raced to a second century for the summer and then well beyond as fieldsmen became spectators and spectators became fielders. Bennett contributed only a single to the partnership but had the best seat in the house to watch Anthony’s destructive hitting at the non-strikers’ end, eventually departing to Balkeet Singh with the Swans score beyond 200. Lewis De Gennaro was stumped off the same bowler for a duck, and Anthony’s superb innings ended at 130 when he was bowled by Balkeet, having struck eight fours and nine towering sixes. Henry Egan (39 with three sixes) and skipper Kieran Murphy (18) then added the finishing touches on proceedings with a 58 run stand for the seventh wicket, before the last four wickets went down for just the addition of three runs, Bicton-Attadale still in an impregnable position with 266 on the board. Balkeet claimed 5-51 from 17.5 overs, while Siddharth Singh grabbed 3-19 in what was a day of leather chasing for the most part for the Bulldogs. Riverton Rostrata Cricket Club recovered from a middle order collapse to post 201 against Jandakot Park at Riverton Reserve, all-round talent Matthew Cust showcasing his batting ability with a fine 73. Jandakot won the toss and chose to field first, sensing an opportunity to build pressure on their opponents who had been bundled out for 100 in round ten against Kelmscott. Ryan Mepham and Alistair Turner were polar opposites in the early passages, Mepham resisting stoutly while Turner capitalised on anything loose. Mepham made a laborious solitary single before being castled by Jandakot captain Tim Howard for one, the Rats 1-26. Turner was looking ominous and new man Darren Marijanich was looked solid at the score past 50, but Turner couldn’t go on with his start and was bowled by Lovedeep Singh for 37. Singh was indeed on song as he proceeded to scythe through the Rats middle order, dismissing Sean Harrison (2), Scott Hayward (0) and Craig Nelson (1) in an inspired spell that left Riverton with a horrendous feeling of déjà vu, having encountered similar problems last week. At 5-71 the visitors were well on top, and when Marijanich joined the procession having made 39 the innings was in freefall at 6-86. Youngsters Darcy Shipard and Matthew Cust took the score past 100 before spinner Adam Bryce removed Shipard for 14, the Rats in danger of being bowled out well before the close at 7-108. But Cust was still fighting and received excellent support from lower order batsman Matt Connolly, the pair batting the team out of trouble and taking the score beyond 150. Jandakot’s bowlers were beginning to tire as the stand frustrated them for a time, Jon Cribbs ending the stand as he removed Connolly for 24. Cust then changed gears, playing his shots as he flew past a half century and took the score past 200, in a dynamic batting display. Of the 49 runs scored across the last two wickets Cust made all but two of them, eventually last out for 73 in an innings that included seven fours and two sixes. Lovedeep Singh claimed 5-52 to be the bowling star of the day for Jandakot Park, Howard and Cribbs with two wickets each. Riverton-Rostrata finished with 201, the final three wickets adding 93 runs in a great lower order fightback that gave the bowlers plenty to work with. It also left their opponents with a tricky nine overs to survive before the close, opener Shaun Doody run out for Jandakot for 11 to leave the visitors one down at stumps with 25 runs on the board. It sets up a great second week of the game, Jandakot needing 177 more runs with the Rats chasing nine wickets. Roleystone Karragullen Cricket Club's push to solidify top spot received a boost as their batsmen again fired on the opening week of their match against Armadale Cricket Club at Cross Park. Invited to bat first the home side didn’t make the greatest of starts, losing Chmielewski brothers Ben (0) and Michael (11) to Alex Pass and Taymon McLaughlin respectively to slump to 2-17. Samuel Ierino (13) and patient opener Darryl Kipping (12 in 90 deliveries) also fell cheaply to leave Roleystone in need of a partnership at 4-70. They got it courtesy of captain Trent Stuart and all-rounder Glen Hickinbotham, Stuart with a second half century in as many matches as he made 56 before falling to rival skipper McLaughlin. Brett Turner contributed a handy 24 at number seven but the rest of the batting effort belonged to Hickinbotham, who scored at better than a run a ball in making 72 from 66 balls striking six fours and three sixes. The runs came at almost four runs to the over throughout the Roleystone innings, but Armadale did capture the ten wickets they needed in bowling out the home team for 234 in 58.4 overs. McLaughlin claimed 3-19 for the Demons, two victims each for Danish Shamim and Luke Williams in a bowling effort that started well but lost its way through the middle stages of the day. Armadale openers Rylan Arms and Ainslie Noronha batted through the 8 overs they had to survive before stumps, reaching 0-14 and have all ten wickets standing heading in to week two next Saturday. Willetton Crows Cricket Club and Kwinana Cricket Club played out a wildly fluctuating day of cricket at Burrendah Reserve, in what is a crucial game for both teams hopes of participating in finals. The Crows won the toss and chose to field and it looked an inspired decision when Kwinana were 5-36, new ball pair Jack Hawkins and Chris Chellew doing the damage with the new ball. A near on century stand between Geoff Perera and Peter Geere revived the innings for the visitors, the pair batting smartly as they kept the Willetton bowlers at bay. Perera made a flawless half century and went on to top score in reaching 76, Geere with 44 as the game began to swing Kwinana’s way. But the tail offered as much resistance as the top order, Chellew coming back to finish what he started as he castled the stumps of Rob Taylor and Rhyley Rametta for ducks to wrap up the innings nice and quickly, Kwinana all out for 164. Chellew claimed 4-13 to be the best of the bowlers, while Hawkins finished with 2-14 as the rest of the wickets were shared around by a disciplined bowling attack, 34 overs sent down between spinners Neville Ram and Aditya Saha on the afternoon. Willetton got through to stumps unscathed, Chellew showcasing his dual threat with bat and ball as he finished the day on 7, Liam Pennington on 2 with the Crows 0-15 needing 150 more for a crucial win. Round eleven concludes next Saturday 25th January 2020, with all matches scheduled to commence at 1:00 PM.

16.01.2022 Roleystone Bounce Back in Big Chase; Swans Hold on in One Run Thriller Roleystone Karragullen Cricket Club returned to form to successfully chase down 206 again...st Jandakot Park at Karragullen Oval on Saturday, as part of round eight of the SMCA 2019-20 second grade summer. In other results Bicton-Attadale clung on to win by a run against Kwinana at Orelia Oval despite 77 from Geoff Perera, Kelmscott made it back to back wins with a comfortable triumph over Willetton at Frye Park, and Riverton-Rostrata continued Armadale’s miserable season with a 67 run win at Gwynne Park. All eyes were on Roleystone-Karragullen after their shock defeat at the hands of Kelmscott in round seven, most pundits expecting their promotion to first grade in 2020-21. Another loss would put that quest in jeopardy, Jandakot Park making the trek out to Karragullen Oval chasing revenge for the two-day defeat only a matter of weeks ago. The home team invited them to bat first upon winning the toss, Jandakot openers Thomas Hales and Shaun Doody starting magnificently with a 93-run stand, one short of their team total against the same opponents last month. Mitchell Stuart provided the breakthrough for Roleystone, dismissing Hales for 30 but Doody went on unperturbed as he struck a fine half century, reaching 62 before being caught behind off Jo Jackson. The openers hard work wasn’t wasted, Cameron Van Deuren making 21, Brad Ward 30 and Hayden Stevens 31 to push the score beyond 200 come the conclusion of the 40 overs, a big task ahead of the home team as Jandakot Park posted 6/206. Jackson was the only multiple wicket taker for Roleystone-Karragullen with 2-32, the bowling lacking some penetration in the warm afternoon conditions. The chase didn’t get off to the best of starts, the home team 3-45 with Ben Chmielewski (12), Patrick Fisher (17) and Michael Chmielewski (13) all reaching double figures but unable to make a telling contribution. The tide turned on the fourth wicket stand between Samuel Ierino and Trent Stuart, the two adding 108 to set up the chase. Both batsmen fell within sight of a half century, Ierino out for 48 to Adam Bryce and Stuart making 47 before being stumped off the bowling of Thomas Hales to give Jandakot an opening. Glen Hickinbotham and Darryl Kipping fell in consecutive deliveries to Bryce as the game looked to be swinging Jandakot’s way, but Mitchell Stuart remained and produced a brilliant cameo that included four sixes, Jackson with him for company as Roleystone stormed home to win a classic contest by three wickets. Stuart departed for 34 from just 21 balls after victory was in his side’s keeping, Jackson not out on 17 as Roleystone-Karragullen recorded their sixth victory of the summer. Bryce bowled shrewdly for his 3-30 from 8 overs, Ben Armstrong with 2-39 up front with the new ball and Brad Ward claiming 2-51 in a disappointing result for the visitors, who did a lot right but slumped to their fifth defeat from eight matches. Bicton Attadale Cricket Club held on in a cracking match against Kwinana Cricket Club at Orelia Park, the home side falling agonisingly short of victory. At the top of the day Kwinana won the toss and chose to bowl, Bicton-Attadale reaching 61 without loss thanks to openers Aiden Anthony (40) and Tory Richardson (21) before both fell in consecutive overs to give the home team an opening. Partnerships kept coming right through the innings in a terrific batting performance, every batsman reaching double figures as Kwinana’s bowlers wilted in the afternoon heat. Campbell Putland made 25, Derryn Fernandez contributed 31 against his former club, Aaron Wright took the score just short of 200 with 36 not out, Lewis De Gennaro hit out late to make 22 and James Keys made an unbeaten 10 as the Swans finished at 5-199 from their 40 overs. No Kwinana bowler tasted success more than once with the ball, wickets each for Lincoln Dwyer, Dylan Hinchcliffe, Geoff Perera, Jon Cribbs and Luke Collins. The chase of 200 didn’t get off to the best of starts as Qaisar Mewati fell for a duck to Palwinder Singh, David Stewart also falling to the new ball for one with Jordan Petrone the wicket taker. The two mainstays of the Kwinana innings were Geoff Perera and Paul Silchinger, who both made half centuries to take the game deep and leave the Swans nervous. Perera’s outstanding recent form continued with 77 priceless runs, striking 12 boundaries before Aiden Anthony removed him, former teammate Fernandez with the catch. Peter Geere swung lustily to hit three sixes in his 33 but also fell to Geere, Silchinger the man entrusted in guiding Kwinana to victory. In a game that went down to the final ball, Jordan Petrone held his nerve for Bicton as Luke Collins was dismissed off the final ball with two runs required, Silchinger watching on from the non-strikers end undefeated on 51. Kwinana were 8/198 when all was said and done, the Swans winners by one solitary run to remain a game clear on top of the ladder. Anthony strengthened his claims for the inaugural Ian Hale medal with 3-37, Petrone with 3-33 and nervelessly sending down the final over of the match to deliver his side victory. Kelmscott Senior Cricket Club won it’s fourth one day match for the summer from five attempts at Frye Park against Willetton Crows Cricket Club, Amneet Malhi guiding the chase with a second successive half century. Willetton won the toss and chose to bat, openers Aiden Sloan and Chris Chellew taking the score to 26 before Sloan was caught behind off Arvind Singh Sajwan for nine. Jacob Baron could only manage five but the in form Chellew remained an obstacle for Kelmscott, Brock Severin joining him as they took the score past 50. A brilliant piece of fielding from Callum Collard sent Chellew packing, a direct hit run out ending his knock at 26. Severin was the mainstay of the Willetton innings, reaching his second half century of the summer with both coming against the Bulldogs. He went almost immediately after raising his bat as the innings lost its momentum, only number ten Jack Hawkins able to join Chellew and Severin in reaching double figures. The Crows limped to a total of 139 with Hawkins out to the final ball of the innings for 12, Singh Sajwan the bowling star for Kelmscott with 4-20 from 8 overs. Chasing 140 for victory Tom Bray had opener Kyle Collard caught behind for seven, but Richard Siegers and Amneet Malhi built things nicely for the Bulldogs, seeing off the new ball and setting up the chase for their side. By the time they were separated the score had reached 97 and the result appeared almost beyond doubt, Bray bowling Siegers for 21. Malhi made a fine 68 that included seven fours and one six, Bray again hitting the stumps to claim his third wicket. Two more wickets would fall before victory was secured, Singh Sajwan adding 36 runs to his earlier four wickets and being there when the winning run was scored. Callum Collard hit a quickfire 21 before the innings ended at 181, Kelmscott every chance of playing in the one-day final with all four of their wins this summer coming in one day fixtures. Luke Fisher and Tom Bray each claimed three wickets for the Crows, while Jacob Baron finished things in a hurry with 2-3 from just five balls at the bowling crease. Riverton Rostrata Cricket Club continued to pile on the pain for Armadale Cricket Club in their fixture at Gwynne Park, winning comfortably by 67 runs. The Rats won the toss and batted in stiflingly hot conditions, Alistair Turner continuing his mid-season purple patch as he shared another fifty-run stand with opener Ryan Mepham. Turner got to 36 before he departed, Mepham making 10 as both batsmen fell to Danish Shamim. Wickets fell regularly through the middle overs as the visitors lost their way for a while, the Rats slumping to 6-112 as the middle order misfired. All-rounder Matthew Cust made the most of the death overs for Riverton-Rostrata, finishing unbeaten on 42 with six fours as he shared a 58-run partnership with Craig Nelson (17). Aided by 27 sundries (25 of which were wides) the visitors finished 7-183 from their 40 overs, a strong score against a side still chasing their first win of the season. Opening bowler Alex Pass was as consistent as ever with 2-27 from his 8 overs, while Shamim was the pick of the bowlers with 2-19 from his allotted spell. The Demons innings got off to a wobbly start as Matt Connolly got the ball rolling for the Rats, claiming the first three wickets to fall including the key wicket of Jeff Petrie. Cheyenne Cavanagh battled hard to make 20 and Michael Wise stuck around to make 12, but when the pair fell in quick succession the writing was on the wall for Armadale, who slumped to 6-57. Ryan Gunner (18) and Ainslie Noronha (16) took the score in to three figures, but it was all over in 39 overs for the Demons, who were skittled for 116. Connolly was superb for Riverton-Rostrata in claiming 4-19 from eight overs, two wickets each for Adam Morgan and Craig Nelson in what was the Rats sixth win of the season. The regular ladder sees Bicton-Attadale top of the table with seven wins and one loss, eleven points clear of Roleystone-Karragullen in second spot. Riverton-Rostrata sit in third place, holding a 20-point gap on fourth placed Kwinana who sit at 3-5. Willetton and Jandakot sit outside the four on the same record, Kelmscott in seventh place and Armadale still without a win. Round nine is next Saturday 21st December, the final Saturday of cricket for the calendar year of 2019 with play scheduled to commence at 1:00 PM.
