The new separated bike lanes are sure to be an improvement for commuters and encourage more people to ride into the city. 09.01.2022 The bike lane trials on Elizabeth Street, Richmond and Park Street, Fitzroy/Collingwood are under threat. We're calling on local members to show their support for the trials before Tuesday night's Yarra City Council meeting. If you support these initiatives which make it easier to ride, please send a short, supportive email to Yarra Councillors at [email protected]. You can also register to make a verbal submission to the agenda items.... Specifically, Bicycle Network supports: Item 11.1 Elizabeth Street bicycle lane - we support Option 1, to retain the trial for the full planned duration of 12 months. Item 11.2 Park Street bicycle projects - we support the recommendation to continue the current trial in Section A, between St Georges and Nicholson.
