25.01.2022 Umber, ochre and sienna palette
24.01.2022 These leaves are not for painting because I'm in a National Park but I'm determined to find out what sort of eucalypt they are from. They're quite thick and leathery feeling and the colours are fabulous. Edit: one of the National Park rangers told me these are Swamp Mahogany leaves. They also said it was eucalyptus botryoidis but when I googled swamp mahogany it came up with eucalyptus robusta so I'm not entirely sure which is correct.
20.01.2022 3rd pic from the branches I picked up off Ferguson Lane. #paintedleaves #gumleaves

15.01.2022 First coast of lacquer before painting. I love the colours that come out in the leaves - a bit like pouring water on pebbles.
15.01.2022 What a talented woman! I love her interest in native flora. Her work is exquisite.
13.01.2022 Our summer has been tragic, our beautiful flora and fauna burned, our people traumatised and worn out. But throughout the destruction there has been an absolutely amazing sense of community emerging, heroic deeds performed, a coming together and a realisation of what is truly important to us all. May we all regenerate and flourish and keep this outpouring of caring and love for each other alive.

13.01.2022 Getting a bit funky!
11.01.2022 I'll be there this Sunday along with Cuddle Bubs. Christmas is just around the corner ...
10.01.2022 Getting ready for the Markets at Lakeside, Mount Annan Botanic Gardens tomorrow. Some new pics made with the burnt leaves I picked up around Camden during the terrible bushfires a year ago. I will be at Mount Annan tomorrow 15.11.20 and again on Sunday 29.11.20 and then at the Christmas Markets at Cobbitty on Saturday 5.12.20. (How quick and slow this year has gone - it's been very odd!)
10.01.2022 Look at the gorgeous colours in these gum leaves I picked up today! Fabulous leaf litter.
08.01.2022 Wishing everyone a safe and happy Christmas and dearly hoping for some rain and respite for our amazing volunteers - what wonderful communities we have.
08.01.2022 And now for something completely different - purple and orange.
08.01.2022 I'm really pleased with this commission #gumleaves #paintedleaves
06.01.2022 The final Cobbitty Village Markets for the year. Come out and support your local arts and crafts people and have a go on the RFS chocolate wheel to support our very hard working firies. The temperature is cool, the air is clear and the place is buzzing with Christmas! #handmade #handdrawn #gumleaves #cobbittyvillagemarket

02.01.2022 Cracking on with a large project using the bushfire leaves from the neighborhood.
01.01.2022 Leaves off the ground. Aren't the colours delicious! They will probably fade but I live in hope.
