13.01.2022 The corn, capsicum and cucumber are growing like mad with all the rain and beautiful sunshine. Look out for them in your $25 pesticide veggie box in the coming weeks
11.01.2022 So, what’s in the box this week? In this weeks $25 pesticide free veggie box there is a few choices to make: Please choose from - Dutch cream potatoes or beans - Cos lettuce or salad leaves... - Spaghetti marrow or some squash There will also be basil, chives, Roma tomatoes and shallots. I am also putting in a kohlrabi for you to try, it has a sweet cabbage flavor and is lovely peeled, grated and added to coleslaw. I will include recipes for German potato salad and stuffed squash this week. I have been busy in the kitchen preserving the overflow from the garden. Preserves available this week are: Basil pesto, green tomato pickles, red tomato relish, spicy zucchini pickles, mulberry jam, vegetable stock paste, tomato passata and the last bottle of lemon butter all $6 each. Orange cordial, preserved lemon or tomato sauce for $7 each. I have one last bottle of lemon cordial also $7 The chooks are working hard during this heat so I have a couple of dozen eggs available$5 doz Please let me know via PM if you would like to order this week for a Wednesday afternoon delivery (Hawkesbury) or Thursday delivery (Penrith) by 9pm Tuesday Have a great week Dell

01.01.2022 Hi everyone, Plenty of variety in the $25 pesticide free veggie box this week. There will be: Roma tomatoes and fresh basil for making this weeks Cream of Tomato Soup recipe or the bruschetta recipe from a few weeks ago. I’ll send it if you haven’t got it yet.... Cucumber, salad leaves, rosemary, zucchini and some special striped capsicum (great for snacking) There are also spaghetti marrow available to add to your box for $5. Orange cordial, preserved lemon or tomato sauce for $7 each. The lemon tree is starting to give some ripe fruit again, so I’ll get into making more lemon butter and cordial soon.
