24.01.2022 Digital World Travel Just, as we cannot guarantee risk free travel on the highways, the air, or by sea. We cannot guarantee 100% risk free travel in the ever expanding Digital World. However, we can try to help you limit the risks!... Technology is a wonderful thing. In many ways it’s why we enjoy a high level of comfort in our lives, improving our working and living conditions. But do you think our reliance on technology goes too far? Or is technology merely a tool for social development? Kate’s Safe Travel Tips Whether it’s the drama among friends that wraps itself around the teenagers through incessant texting, or the children who are obsessed with their digital games, to even parents who just can’t put away the smartphone and are still compelled to interact with their boss or work associates even on holiday with the family, communications in our digital world does tend to cause neglect of human interactions. Many of us wish that we and the people around us would disconnect from our ever increasing digital world! The more dependant we become, the more we rely on it, the more it takes over our lives! I admit I am a dgital Junkie! I was not born into the digital age as our children are but here I am writing my article for you on a computer, emailing it so it can be published. All while recharging my batteries, but could I write my article on a typewriter anymore? The modern world wants it to be digital! But think! Does surrounding ourselves with tecnology make our lives any easier or stress free? I would say not! These are important questions we need to ask ourselves daily. Not only are we as adults becoming more and more reliant on our modern technologies our children are becoming dependant on their Xboxes, Playstations, Wii, PC, iPads and other electronic devices connected to the Digital World. The question we need to think about is are our children spending too much time connected to the digital World and disconnected from us? Don’t be afraid of an iPod or an ebook, go to the library as well. Send emails and texts, but I don’t forget to say hi to your neighbours and turn off the phone. I admit I am a digital Junkie! Especially as school holidays are upon us. Enjoy the break from remote learning, reconnect with your children, friends and family now that restrictions are easing. 17.01.2022 Reminder: Mango orders need to be put in via Qkr, or over the phone no later than tomorrow.
16.01.2022 With Term 4 being a sunsmart term, and with social distancing and parents still requested not to come on site unless absolutely necessary, we have made the decision to put our hats for sale through our Qkr payment app. Once the order has been received at school (usually the next business day), we will call your child to the Office and have them try on hats to ensure correct sizing, then put their name inside of them and they can take it with them without the need for parents to visit the Office. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the Office on 5447 7022.
