25.01.2022 Chris Turner and his Cave Men, Mick O’Shea, Slinky Pete Solinski and Robin Jackson have a new instrumental single out this week. It is a classic piece of music history from Duane Allman and Eric Clapton. This is the 50-year-old petite reprise from the classic song Layla. We call it Layla Part II we hope you enjoy. They went into the studio with a hasty list of boogie tunes and came out two days later with Rock n’ Roll Man, a CD and DVD. Unfortunately, we cannot sell you the DVD as the O/S, locally based publishers, have blocked the licence! However, we can sell you the re-packaged spect...acular CD version 13 well known boogie tunes, 16-page booklet, band members from the year dot, photos, free picks, album covers and so much more. 11.01.2022 Chris Turner New single out Crossroads On the 20th and 21st June last year, Chris Turner took his band, The Cave Men, into Damien Gerard Studios in Sydney for fun. The Cave Men are: Robin Jackson, ‘Robin of Norwich’, who joined the band in 1976; he also played with Hush, Cheek, Punkz and Airport. Mick O’Shea, who first toured with the band in 1986. He is a Swannee, Judge Mercy, Rose Tattoo and a Joe Bonamassa survivor. And lastly but not the least beastly, Mr Slinky Pe...te Solinski, another Londoner, who first signed on in the early nineties. (New Boy!) A list of thirteen songs, that were all classic boogie, was written and the band recorded them pretty much live purely for fun!! 09.01.2022 A new video single by Chris Turner & his Cavemen is out today. Yet another track from his 'fun boogie' album, "Rock n' Roll Man", this is his version of the Jethro Tull track 'Locomotive Breath'. Recorded last year, live in the studio, Turner with his band, Robin Jackson, Mick O'Shea and Slinky Pete Solinski, put down 13 boogie tracks from a list Turner produced shortly before the session. This was originally intended as a CD/DVD package until three local publishers blocked ...the release on three of the songs so the whole expensive DVD has ended up on the cutting room floor. However not to be thwarted, Big Rock Records will release a CD only version - out real soon.
