03.01.2022 CIRCUIT BREAKER 6 DAY LOCKDOWN To prevent further transmission of the Parafield COVID cluster, the government today announced 6 days of high-level restrictions which commence at midnight tonight. Following this 6 days there may be a further 8 day period of restrictions announced. At this early stage we have analysed the government the information which at this stage is not detailed. We will endeavour to provide any more detailed information as it comes to hand. For now:... TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS All non-essential travel is to stop from midnight tonight for 6 days. For caravan parks this means you will probably be getting cancellations already, and our thoughts are with you during this stressful time. The travel restrictions also mean that anyone who is at your park after midnight tonight is recommended to remain where they are, so may still have customers over the 6 day period. Of course it’s up to each individual to follow these directions so if you have customers who decide to leave tomorrow, remember, that is not up to you to manage this, leave the enforcement to the police who will no doubt be monitoring traffic movement and will capture people who are moving around when they shouldn’t be. The midnight tonight commencement means any customers wanting to go home to lock down for 6 days should leave to go home today. Obviously Schoolies has also been cancelled for this weekend. While the preliminary govt. information is sparse it is clear park communal facilities including pools, playgrounds, camp kitchens etc. should be closed for at least the next 6 days. If you still have guests in the park you will need to keep the amenities block open. HOUSEHOLD LOCK DOWNS It is also a direction that people must stay at home unless required to undertake an essential activity (see link below). This would also apply to residents in Residential Parks. It is also necessary for Residential Parks to close all communal facilities apart from essential amenities. SA Parks will be waiting for the official Govt. Direction to be published and will advise members of any further updates in the coming days, or as more information becomes available.
