08.01.2022 ***NEWS FLASH*** This week the NSW Parliament passed an important Bill to expand family violence protections to include animals. This is a simple, common sense... step that comes in response to mounting evidence that domestic violence perpetrators often threaten to harm or kill pets in the course of their abuse. There is so much more we need to do to stop domestic violence in NSW - but hopefully this law will at least mean animals are no longer used to intimidate and manipulate victims.
