20.01.2022 Good morning, Given the current COVID-19 situation and the uncertainty we are all facing, the Clarence Catchment Alliance (CCA) has decided it is in the public’s best interest to postpone this year’s Big Bat, Wildlife and Eco Festival. We are obviously disappointed but the safety and health of our community is paramount. We thank you for your support and wish you all well. 08.01.2022 Sharing this post and picture from another wildlife carer my friend Lynne This little joey was only found yesterday Yesterday we picked up a joey from our w...onderful friend Maree. She is a bit scuffed up but should be ok, she will be ok because Maree found her, I would say at least a day after mum had been hit. When she was found she was sitting on top of mum, and when we picked her up from Maree we noticed her little paws were full of hair, probably from trying to get back into mums pouch. I don't apologise for the image of how she was found, I am sharing it because if it makes one person stop and check a pouch or at least stop and check an animal when they hit it that could be one more saved. This Joey would have starved to death if she hadn't been found and it wouldn't have been quick. All marsupials have pouches not just kangaroos and wallabies. Feel free to share this post and if you have questions about checking pouches or removing joeys, feel free to ask. Maree Jenkin See more
