Once again, thanks to everyone for your support.

21.01.2022 Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions in Victoria, we were unable to have a crowd attend our ball drop lottery at Friendly's Reserve in Benalla during the weekend. However, the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund Inc did send us some kind words in their absence and we just wanted to share them with you... On behalf of the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund, I would like to sincerely thank everyone involved in raising money and awareness for our ...cause as part of Terry’s Big Bearded Ball Drop. Opened in November 2016, the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre is regarded as one of the leading cancer services in regional Australia. We see about 1500 new patients every year, and treat an average of 300 patients a day. With your incredible support, the Trust Fund is helping to improve the lives of these local patients and their families by funding new equipment, to better detect and treat cancer, and investing in training and development for our staff. We are also helping more people gain access to world-class clinical trials through local cancer research, and ensuring patients and carers receive the emotional, spiritual and psychological support they need through our Wellness Centre. The Trust Fund is a 100 per cent local charity, meaning that every dollar raised through this campaign will stay in our region to help families impacted by cancer. Our sincere thanks go to Terry Greaves, and wife Heather, who have so bravely shared their story to initiate the campaign and help drive its great success. Thank you to the organising committee who committed an incredible amount of time and effort to running the campaign over the past three to four months. Thanks also to all the ambassadors who signed up to grow a beard, or wear a fake one, as a unique and novel way of raising funds and awareness of our cause. Finally, thank you to everyone who donated or supported the campaign in any way they could. To raise over $170,000 in under three months is just an amazing effort and we are so incredibly grateful for your support. Thank you. Michelle Hensel Chair, Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund

19.01.2022 G'Day All, Quick update for everyone prior to Saturday's "drop". Stage one of the lottery has been completed under the watchful eye of independent auditors Aldous & Hill, Benalla.... Everyone who made a $20 donation, or purchased multiple tickets (balls), has gone into the first ball drop electronic lottery with 1500 lucky donors randomly selected. Those 1500 donors have now been allocated a unique numbered ball, or balls, for stage two of the lottery. This will involve 1500 balls being dropped from a helicopter at 1.30pm at the Benalla Showgrounds. The ball which lands closest to the target will win the $10,000 major prize. Emails are being sent to successful ticket holders with their unique ball number (s). Unsuccessful ticket holders who didn't make it through to the second stage of the lottery are also being informed by email. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our original plan of dropping 6000 balls from the helicopter and inviting a large crowd to attend the event, had to be revised. As a result, Saturday's event will occur without a crowd to ensure it complies with COVID-19 restrictions. However, the ball drop will be live-streamed on this page so everyone can watch from the comfort of their home. We would like to thank everyone who donated to our cause and helped raise more than $170,000 for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund Inc. We could not have done this without you!
