11.01.2022 One of my regular clients, in fact they were my very first wedding, wanted a cake that could work over 2 events and work within a reasonable budget. So we created an amazing 2 tier cake, the top tier was cut in the morning at a small family gathering. The bottom tier was the redressed with a fondant plaque to cover where the top tier sat - and voila! A second cake for the second party! This is a concept I have used several times and makes the cake and your budget work harder for you.

03.01.2022 The beauty of not being able to work at my full capacity is that I actually had time to make my son a cake for his birthday today! Having said that, these Katharine Sabbath-inspired cakes are so easy to make. The most time consuming part is baking the actual cake and there are some great cake mixes out there to make baking even easier... even buy a pre-baked sponge if you dont have time. Sandwich together w some icing or store bought butter cream, chill to firm it up then pour melted chocolate over and let it drizzle down the sides. Layer on your favourite sweets and you have an amazing cake!
