09.01.2022 I rang Bio Security this morning re autopsy on my deceased bunnies. And John was lovely, caring and very informative. Told me stuff i had not read anywhere about Calici Virus.. SO please i would like to share with you all. Apparently the virus is not only spread through biting insects (mosquitos, flies and fleas) but through the insects dropping. It only takes for a rabbit to eat fly, mosquito or flea droppings and it is enough to pass on the disease and kill them. SO please keep rabbits food covered and off grass ect.

09.01.2022 Unfortunately Biggsies Rabbits possibly has been hit with the Calici Virus :( I have had 4 deaths in 8 days. So as precaution i am in lock down till further notice. I will be sending the rabbits off for testing and will confirm this as soon as i know more. I will say now though, if this is the Calici Virus i will not be replacing the rabbits. Biggsies Rabbits will be closed down for good!
