03.01.2022 2020 ended on a high note! We attended the final double header round of the Australian Superbikes at Wakefield Park (3rd-6th Dec) where the Team and I managed to salvage our SS300 Championship and also get some great results in the YMF R3 Cup. We did miss the crowds but it was a round of racing I will never forget. Supersport 300... Going into the Wakefield double header we were placed 9th in the SS300 Championship due to a Round 1 DNF after being taken out of a race by another rider. (In a typical season every race really counts but in the shortened 'COVID-19' Championship every race position was crucial). With some very hard work from the team we managed to get Pole Position and WON both SS300 races in Round 3, which not only WON us the Round but also lifted our points accumulation to overall 2nd in the 2020 Championship! which was awesome. This is a very important Championship for us that seemed all but out of reach going into Wakefield, nevertheless we kept working hard and that hard work paid off. This was an amazing effort by the whole team who did not stop believing in me! YMF R3 Cup The R3 Cup was super fast, tight close exciting racing as always. We were fortunate to WIN Round 2 of the Cup and at the end of the shortened series we had also accumulated enough points to put the mighty Caboolture Yamaha/ YRD - Yamaha R3 on the overall podium. Coming away with a 2nd in the 2020 YMF R3 Cup by only 1 single point to 1st place. Once again we worked hard, everyone in the Team and supporters continued to believe in me. Thanks so much for the messages of encouragement on socials, DM's, calls and messages throughout the weekend. it does help heaps knowing you are behind me. It really is amazing what can be achieved when you have people who continually support and believe in you. I thank you all very much! We feel ready to take on the next phase of my career as we step up to Supersport 600cc racing in 2021. Once again, I could not do it without the support of my Team, thank you all very much!
