14.01.2022 To our valued customers, Today marked the day that Big Hammer Building Supplies was the last day trading, being owned and operated by John Geaney. Tomorrow morning we open our doors under a new company, Big River Timbers. Rest assured, not much will change, and the majority of the familiar faces will be present. John will remain on board as manager for the next couple of years. ... Dad (John) founded the company in 1991, as a small operation in Garbutt. In the past 27 years, we have grown to what we are today, through your loyal support, and through dads expertise in the industry. To say I am proud is an understatement. This was his third child, and I’m sure at times his favourite , and his dream. Although it’s sad that he no longer owns the company, I’m so happy that dad can finally relax a little. 2019 has been a huge year for us Geaney’s, and finally retirement is in his sights. Thankyou to each and every one of you for helping dads dream come true. Your loyalty to him is what kept him going, and what he loved most about owning the business. - Megan
