25.01.2022 Enjoyed an excellent gig at the Stirling Club, entrepreneurial entertainment combing Birthday Parties and a fund raiser for hospice. Very nice dance floor at the Stirling club these days.

24.01.2022 Nice to give everything a run and blow a few cob webs out. Had an enjoyable night out on Harvey Rd. An excellent support band playing some really great songs. Thanks Claude for getting us to play. Big Men Working enjoyed it.

13.01.2022 Played Friday evening for an awsome country wedding. Venue was Gardens at Bullimah. Amazing unique spot out near Elleker. I didnt know it was there till the other day. Went to school with the Brides Mum, lots of sporting connections going back to Basketball, Cricket and Footy days. Big Men Working have played at plenty of the sports clubs over the years. Brittnee got us to play at Newdegate years ago and it was an honour to play for her friends, family and new family. Would have loved to caught up with a few of the people I knew. To be addressed as "Dogs" is sort of cool. Everyone in the country has a nickname and kids grow up in a very multi layered culture of all ages. All the Best. Brittnee and Alex. From the Band, BIg Men Working.

13.01.2022 Happy New Year from Albany Foreshore. Played absolute blast of a gig Anzac Park in Albany. Home by 9.45pm after fireworks, lots of families and kids of all ages, some actual children as well. Big Men Working were going off, it's always fun to play alongside these guys, the truck supplied by Mick Pratt was rock solid and level. New drummer Scot got through the set with style, young Robbie Bush was hitting the truly high notes on Sax. Matt and I just did what we have been doing for 25 years. Really looking forward to plenty more years playing gigs, its always a nice surprise to do something you enjoy so much and other people have enjoyed the experience as well. Cheers for a less abnormal year for 2021.

13.01.2022 Now this whole being a musician thing has kicked in again, weekends booked. Practise my instruments, get some match fitness. Only played three hours last weekend and definitely need some music fitness. Have boatshed markets Sunday, a couple of new additions to regular students who play. "Juni" is doing a solo acoustic set to start off. Then it is the day-bue of the Big Little Guys. (Possible name) Bryn and Declan and I are playing a set from 10ish to 11ish. We are playing some classic Dire Straits, Clapton and Doors songs. Rock and Blues (Quietly, as required for boatshed) Should be a lot of fun. Then kicking on with Paul and I doing some Jazz / Blues till 1pm. Weather is looking shabby, come down to the Boatshed anyway!
